As I have mentioned earlier in this post, IAHGames are going to wipe their server database so that they could properly implement the infamous Patch 0, I forgot to point out that they are actually giving away an extra month worth of subscription to “compensate”.
Well, compensate my foot! An extra month worth of subscription is worthless to me, as I have absolutely no intention of subscribing to Hellgate : London @ IAHGames, or any other monthly subscription based games.

Finally! It appeared that Flag Ship Studios did take up my advise and opened a suggestions forum, time to bombard that area with my suggestions. ^_^
Original Link here.
However, you can only access the forum if you have an account there. So far, only beta testers and US game box Hellgate : London retail purchasers have access to the official Flag Ship Studios – Hellgate : London Community Forum.

Just bloody incredible!
No point playing it again until they do the bloody server upgrade and database wipe.
Back to fraggin’ for XP in Enemy Territory : Quake Wars I guess.
On the other hand, I just installed Bid for Power 2.1 on my gaming rig. Perhaps I will try it out and post the results here.
Just tried out Bid for Power, graphics are too dated, can’t seem to load bots into the game. Failed to impress me, uninstall-ed and deleted.

A week had passed since the official world wide launch of Hellgate : London, an over hyped PC Game developed by Flagship Studios, founded by former executives of Blizzard North, a division of Blizzard Entertainment.
Given that ArenaNet was also founded by former employees of Blizzard, why don’t we compare the two offsprings and see who got the better genes –

Been playing Hellgate : London on IAHGames’s Alliance server since I got my copy on Thursday, 1 November 2007. So far the ping with the game server is okay, and the internet connection lag is almost non-existent, and hence acceptable for an adequate online gaming experience. Not acceptable part is that IAHGames have yet to email me my pre-order dye codes, and the server is running a non-retail beta patch, as all the players currently playing on IAHGAmes’s Hellgate : London Alliance Server has the beta caps and limitations of them. i.e. can only level up until Level 22 and in game procession until Act 3.

Well, I guess pre-Patch 0 might not be that bad. Played on the Alliance servers for like, say 2 hours plus already I guess. I lowered the settings somewhat, disabled Anti-Aliasing, Textures set to high, View Distance set to medium, Shaders set to high, Shadows set to high. Frame per second does seem to be better after I lowered the settings abit, just type “/fps” to check your frame rate.
The ping with IAHGames’ Alliance server is quite okay, from my 2 hours plus playing experience. Ping ranges from 60ms+, 90ms+, or 150ms+, sometimes even hitting 200ms+, 300ms+, but 300ms+ is quite rare and not much lag spike encountered so far. Except for a couple of “server time out errors”, that would result in me getting “kicked” out of the server. No big deal, I guess, just log back in and continue with the demon hunt!

I finally got it! Yay. Boo. The bloody mofos – IAHGames, they dare to release the game to the public without implementing the much required “Patch 0”! Just incredible! Wooh!
Still patching the bloody client…
Can’t believe that the SEA players are actually paying money up front to “beta test” the servers! I strongly believe that we are actually playing a beta build of the game.

Today is the day, for the first time in my life that a beta game client actually killed my RAM! In the past, I have experienced a situation before where I fried my graphic card by flashing the wrong bios. This time, however, is the first time where after I experience ultra cool graphics, the PC started to have problems.
For example, Enemy Territory : Quake Wars started to crash to desktop for no good reason, same goes to Guild Wars. Guild Wars was so nice and even suggested that my processor could be faulty.
After discussing with bro, I suspect that the RAM could have died. Bro commented that the heat from the processor and graphics card probably cooked the RAM. After taking out the RAMs piece by piece, and experimenting with individual RAM pieces, I came to the conclusion that the pair of 256MB mushkin RAMS that me bro bought for it is faulty.
Bloody Flagship Studios made a beta game client that killed my RAM, brilliant aye?
