Download the ZIP Archive here:

Files in the ZIP ARchive
ping-alexa.bmp - 58 bytes
ping-alexa.ico - 70 bytes
ping-alexa.png - 90 bytes
readme.txt - 1,107 bytes

All three (3) “ping-alexa.*” files are a 1 x 1 pixel graphic image
The bmp file is in black color, edit it to match the color of one’s footer
The ico and png files are transparent, but the file size is slightly higher

Installation Notes
Choose the file that is most suitable for one’s site
Upload chosen file into one’s site

Prefably at the very end, just before the </body> tag

<img src=http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?domain-name.com/path/ping-alexa.xxx>

Deimos’s Thoughts
This ought to be a real simple trick that all fellow bloggers who wish to attain a higher Alexa Traffic Ranking should try out. Nothing to lose, right?

Deimos Asks
Aye, fellow webmasters alike, what do you think about this? Are you already aware about this Alexa redirect thingie?

Deimos’s Additional Reads
Deimos is not exactly a fan of ip phones as he does not spend that much time talking. He would not get himself a skype download or even some voip software as he has no time for those gimmicks. He heard that vonage is a good internet phone prodivder that provides voip calling services though a voip client is required for that purpose. Deimos has yet to find a suitable affiliate program to monetize his blog effectively yet.

Handy tip, thx, will try it today. In your post the code is not visible. You need to use & l t ; instead of the < and & g t ; instead of the >, (just the characters not the spaces).

Alexa itself says any number above 100,000 is pretty meaningless.

Generally, Traffic Rankings of 100,000 should be regarded as not reliable because the amount of data we receive is not statistically significant. Conversely, the more traffic a site receives (the closer it gets to the number 1 position), the more reliable its Traffic Ranking becomes.

There are other ways you could “cehat” for real through scripting and automation. This trick isn;t one of them. It is simply saying “Hey, count my vote”, and there is debate as to whether or not it even works.

    It is cheating the system.

Simple common sense. Anything that is beyond the approval of Alexa or Alexa’s means of gathering information.

    Furthermore,

And you said so yourself “Deimos’s Thoughts
This ought to be a real simple [trick] that all fellow bloggers who wish to attain a higher Alexa Traffic Ranking should try out. Nothing to lose, right?”

Surely you have a reason to call it TRICK. right? It’s an attempt to tricking the system.

I mean look at it. The amount of steps to follow just to get the ranking.

Clearly it’s something not a prowd blog owner would do. Get your users to use Sparky or Search Status extension if you may. :)

I still fail to see why by doing so this is cheating the system.

The Alexa Traffic Ranking is a system to determine how much traffic a particular site has, right?

However, it only captures a “visit record” if the visitor / reader has Sparky or Search Status Extension installed, correct?

If this redirect.alexa.com/redirect? thingie really works, I believe we are helping the system, not cheating / abusing / tricking it.

Why would there be a redirect.alexa.com in the first place? :???:

Surely it was there to be used, no?

    Regarding the definition of “trick”
    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/trick

    6. the art or knack of doing something skillfully: You seem to have mastered the trick of making others laugh.

Actually, it is more like “the amount of steps to follow” to help Alexa register our site traffic more accurately.

Clearly it’s something not a prowd blog owner would do.

Well, that would your point of view, mate.
To each their own, aye?

About suggesting fellow visitors / readers to install Sparky and / or Search Status Extension, I would do a simple post about that soon.

But, none tech savvy users probably would not bother.

P/S: Thanks for telling me about the Search Status Extension thingie! I have just installed it!

    should be this instead
    redirect?http://www.lifelongsharing.com/

    Remove the extra one

Anyway, I believe your img src tag is not correct.

    This line of code:
    redirect?xpressnick.com/public_html/wp-content/
