The First Step

English Translation
The journey of a thousand miles begins with one first step
Even the sage was once an ordinary human being

Original Mandarin Version
千里之路必须从第一步开始
圣人的境域也是自凡夫起步

Deimos Analyzes
This one is pretty much self explanatory aye? Nothing to analyze here? If one wishes to become a successful Blogger in the Cyberspace, one has to start some where.

Especially if one has not blogged before, one would kick off one’s journey as a Newbie Blogger first and eventually gain enough blogging experience to rise above the ranks and one day, become a successful Blogger.

Deimos’s Thoughts
The path to being a successful Blogger is not an easy path as many would think it is, there would definitely be doubts, objections, down right destructive criticisms from those who are close and dear to one, especially if they are not the internet technology savvy type.

Just why do I say this? Simply because I am experiencing this kind of treatment very often. My significant other, my Darling, she totally cannot comprehend what I am doing and why I am doing all these.

Deimos Asks
So fellow Bloggers, when did you take your first step to become a Blogger?

I started on 8 October 2007, but by then I was totally a newbie in this Blogging thingie. Hence, my progress was a bit slow but somehow, I managed to pick up pace to become what I am now. Still striving my very best to improve myself, as there is always room for improvement.

Want to share your Blogging story with me? You know I listen.

Methinks matey, the most important thing when blogging is to find something you really like doing, something you are passionate about, and share that passion. If there’s no passion then blogging is no better than your average full time job. You become reluctant to writing, instead of looking forward to it. And readers can feel this. The first step in blogging is, to my mind, finding something you blog about that will keep you focused for the long run.

Aye? Are you referring to what topic to blog about? 💡

If there’s no passion then blogging is no better than your average full time job.
Correct. Well I believe I am quite passionate about blogging. 😛

You become reluctant to writing, instead of looking forward to it.
Always looking forward to produce content so I guess I’m safe. 🙂

    And readers can feel this.
    How? 😕

The first step in blogging is, to my mind, finding something you blog about that will keep you focused for the long run.
Finding a topic or a few topics that one is able to blog about for a long time? 😉

Yes, the topic must be something you love – and it’s great that you found yours 😉

As to how can the readers feel the lack of interest? Well, I couldn’t give a scientific explanation. They just do. Quantum physicists will explain some way, psychic mediums will explain otherwise… it’s all interconnected on some level.

And the topic or topics must be your passion, because if they aren’t then you’ll get bored before you actually have a chance to do something with your blog. It takes a long time to take off, to build some momentum, and if there’s no passion, you get bored soon.

    My $0.02 🙂

True. One must have passion if one wants to be a good blogger. 🙂
