Silent Thoughts

English Translation
The behavior of a person during his lifetime,
be it good or evil, is accumulated over time.

Original Mandarin Version
人一生的行为
不管是善与恶
皆由时间所累积

Deimos Analyzes
Though this one pretty much looks like some phrase from some religious books, that does not mean I can not attempt to analyze it from a Blogger’s point of view, aye?

What is written and published will be read by others
To put it simply, whatever a Blogger do, as in whatever articles they write and publish, would be read by others (provided that this particular Blogger has some visitors or readers) and hence whatever they wrote and published would be imprinted into the minds of the Blogger’s visitors or readers, at least for quite a while before they eventually forget it as most folks tend to be forgetful after a long period has lapsed.

Deleted an offending article? Some folks might still remember it
Even though them visitors or readers might probably have forgotten about what the Blogger had originally written and published, as long as the blog is up and running, the article is still there unless the Blogger decided to remove it. Even if the article is removed, there might be some who still remembers it, though most might have forgotten about it.

The power to write and publish
As Bloggers, we have the power to write and publish whatever we want to, feels great aye? Seems like a great power yar? Like Peter Parker’s late Uncle Ben would say – With great power, comes great responsibilities.

Think before we write
Okay, what I am trying to say is that as Bloggers, we should blog with care. The saying – Look before you leap – applied here would be like – Think before you write – and so just what we should think about before we write an article aye?

Is someone going to be pissed off by this article?
Just one simple question – Would this article piss some one off? Make someone unhappy? Sad? Basically, would this article stir up any negative emotions once read by certain individuals? In the event that the article did cause such effect, what would those folks who are currently experiencing some form of negative emotion think about the article, the blog which the article is published and the author who wrote and published the article? Think about it, aye.

Deimos’s Daily Reads
Sorry, I am currently back in my Darling’s home town with 56k dial up connection access. No reads these few days. It is a miracle that I can still manage to reciprocate drops.

Deimos’s Thoughts
Seems pretty long winded aye? To sum it up, try not to blog about stuff that would piss off too many people, even though it seemed like a very good idea to attract folks to come in and voice out their anger, resentment etc. I don’t think it would be do much good in the long run, unless one is striving to be an evil Blogger, heh.

Deimos’s first SEO success?
To share an experience of mine when I first started blogging, on 29 November 2007, I published an article titled – Kidnapped, Released: Dora Goh Wei Wei and to my excitement, this article somehow hit the SEO jackpot or something as Google search key phrases such as “dora goh”, “dora goh wei wei” and “goh wei wei” would result in my article coming out number one among thousands of other sites.

Deimos messed up before
Being totally a newbie Blogger (I still consider myself a newbie to this Blogging thingie) back then, I was totally excited by the amount of traffic flowing in as a result of this. To slice a rather long story short, I ended up doing something that I considered to be quite evil, royally pissed off some folks too. Fortunately, I realized the errors and attempted to make amends.

The actual story is quite long winded and I figured that not many folks would be interested in it anyway so no point writing about it, unless there is a demand for it.

Deimos Asks
Good or Evil? So, are you a Good Blogger? Or … you are an Evil Blogger instead? Perhaps … a Neutral Blogger? Hah! Which one would you rather be?

Funnily enough I’ve just done a short post about a young woman who was travelling in Africa and wrote a really thoughtless post about some food she was offered. It has caused uproar in Malawi, where she was at the time, and it still rumbles on. While I think she was insensitive and tactless, the reaction from some has been extreme. The whole blog was very frivolous. It used to be on Travel Pod and has now been deleted apart from a brief and poorly written apology – and that hasn’t helped.

All that was just to say, I do agree that you need to think carefully about what you say. You can’t always avoid offending people and you can’t please everyone, but you should at least show some respect for others.

Your article was published earlier than mine though. 😛
I must say that no plagiarism of any kind was involved! 🙄
The two ladies hid the food in their bras! My goodness! 😮
The lady who blogged about it was being rather brutal with her words. 😐

I think when we blog, we have to mind what we write. If it is inevitable we must write about it, then write it in a different way. 😉

Or, just do it. Stand by your words. Through the hail of fire and brimstone. Stand by your words!!

Now that you blog about this, I also have something to say, remember I said sayonara to blogrush and spott in my blog? Well, today I just put back the blogrush widget ❗ , why ? I don’t know, maybe because I don’t have much time like I used to, to reciprocate dropping cards, but I will still drop cards, on a daily basis, just not 300 daily, 😕 But as for Spott, I don’t think I’ll ever use it again on superheroesbase 😛
