Being Needed and the Ability to Serve

English Translation
Being needed by others and having the ability
to serve is what makes our life truly blessed

Original Mandarin Version
人生若能被人需要
能够有一份功能
为人付出
这才是最幸福的人生

Deimos Analyzes
I believe this one totally describes Bloggers and Readers perfectly.

The first part “Being needed by others” refers to Readers, meaning that there are others who like what Bloggers produce, the demand for the Bloggers’ content.

Next, the “and having the ability to serve” would of course meant the Bloggers are able to write up quality content that Readers are interested in reading.

Finally, there is “is what makes our life truly blessed” which means that every Blogger would be very happy if there is demand for one’s content and the Blogger has the ability to supply it!

Deimos’s Thoughts
I believe I just explained a little bit of Blogging in terms of simple and basic economics – The Law of Supply and Demand. Methinks that by understanding this basic idea – Supply and Demand, one is able to rise up to become a successful Blogger faster.

Then again, everyone’s definition of success is different.

    Very good analogy.

Also, I think writing good content is necessary, but not sufficient. You must also share the value you create (i.e. the content). If the value isn’t shared, there’s no value coming back to the blogger. It’s hard for a new blog to find readers to share value with 🙂

I guess what I’m trying to say is, as with market supply and demand, a little publicity can’t hurt – it’s the only way to actually share the value (i.e. put the good content in front of people’s eyes).

Visitors are as important too. 😉
Readers might become bored one day. 😮
