All the above listed linkies are tagged with nofollow (except the source linkie which leads to Mister Turnip’s domain) to avoid Google from labeling me as a linkie farmie.

Deimos’s Thoughts
This list is similar to the “Above Fold Entrecarders List” except that a little bit of scrolling is required. My own personal preference would of course be those Entrecarders with totally above the fold Entrecard Widgets.

This article is a work in progress and new qualified sites would be added on to the list.

Hopefully, all the above listed Entrecarders would eventually relocate their Entrecard Widget to become above fold, then I would gladly move them into the appropriate list.

Deimos Asks
So did I miss out any fellow Entrecarders? Do feel free to voice out if any fellow Entrecarder’s site is qualified to be listed above, but I have yet to do so.

Any fellow Entrecarders wish to be added to the list? Qualified? Please let me know.

Cheers for the mention – the reason I don’t put my widget right above the ‘fold’ is because I want Entrecarders to actually read a bit of my content – not just bugger off after dropping their card!

My website’s average bounce rate is 60% – referrals from Entrecard have a bounce rate of 85%. If Entrecard users want EntreCard to work they’ve got to spend some time on others’ blogs!

John Cow has pulled out for this very reason – c’mon, let’s keep Entrecard alive!

Try this expericment Viraj. Put your entrecard on a password protected page. Then put the password at the end of your article. See how many readers you get clicking through then. Bounce rate isn’t the problem, it’s you not capturing the traffic. Seriously, “Revenge on 0870 Numbers” isn’t going to stop anyone in their tracks. Maybe it’s got meaning in your country, but to myself from the USA, the headline means nothing even after I read your article. I find most of the entrecarders to be from the US. Even if we bookmark your site and click it everyday, you do need a tiny bit of linkbait to convert a chaindropper to a reader.

    Hi Turnip,
Thanks for your reply – while what you say is true, I am not the only one who has experienced a much higher bounce rate with EntreCarders than the site average.

The reason is that many people only use EntreCard to drop cards and earn points – the don’t network with bloggers and while I’m happy with the extra numbers the service generates, I’d be happier if more EntreCard users interacted with my blog – I’m not saying no one does this, I’ve made a few very good contacts through the service but from my experience, the majority of users just ‘drop and go.’

the reason I don’t put my widget right above the β€˜fold’ is because I want Entrecarders to actually read a bit of my content – not just bugger off after dropping their card!

    That’s not gonna work. 😐

My website’s average bounce rate is 60% – referrals from Entrecard have a bounce rate of 85%.

What’s wrong with having a high bounce rate, aye? πŸ˜•

If Entrecard users want EntreCard to work they’ve got to spend some time on others’ blogs!

Actually, they would rather EntreDrop else where. 😈

John Cow has pulled out for this very reason – c’mon, let’s keep Entrecard alive!

He quit because I think he is a lazy EntreMofo! πŸ˜›

Entrecard is not dying, mate. πŸ˜‰

Bounce rate isn’t the problem, it’s you not capturing the traffic.

    I concur. ❗

Seriously, β€œRevenge on 0870 Numbers” isn’t going to stop anyone in their tracks. Maybe it’s got meaning in your country, but to myself from the USA, the headline means nothing even after I read your article.

    Totally agree, mate. 😳

I find most of the entrecarders to be from the US.

Over here, folks seems hesitant to become an Entrecarder. πŸ‘Ώ

Even if we bookmark your site and click it everyday, you do need a tiny bit of linkbait to convert a chaindropper to a reader.

    Quoted for truth! 😎

    @Viraj:

I am not the only one who has experienced a much higher bounce rate with EntreCarders than the site average.

Google Analytics tells me that my bounce rate is 64.91% 😯

The reason is that many people only use EntreCard to drop cards and earn points – the don’t network with bloggers

That does not stop one from pro-actively, sincerely networking with other fellow EntreCarders, right? πŸ’‘

I’d be happier if more EntreCard users interacted with my blog

They will interact if they find something that interests them in your site. πŸ™‚

I’ve made a few very good contacts through the service

    Glad to hear that!

the majority of users just β€˜drop and go.’

True, muster your creativeness to snare them! πŸ™„

Personally, I think these lists are a little ridiculous. In many ways you’re encouraging bloggers to think twice before visiting another blog because, heaven forbid, they actually have to use the mouse to get to the card. One scroll under my resolution and the card is visible. On another site, I’m listed above the fold because of that bloggers screen resolution. All this does is prove you don’t take the time to actually read blogs. Wasn’t this the idea behind EC? The EC credits are just that- credits. Nothing of real value. The real value comes with readers who stick around and not spend 2 seconds clicking “drop yours.”

    @Beth:
Personally, I think these lists are a little ridiculous.
DTA: Now that you mentioned it, I think so too! 😯

In many ways you’re encouraging bloggers to think twice before visiting another blog because, heaven forbid, they actually have to use the mouse to get to the card.
DTA: To clarify, this was not what I intended, and it would be kinda sad if this list did encourage them to think in that manner though. ❓

One scroll under my resolution and the card is visible. On another site, I’m listed above the fold because of that bloggers screen resolution.
DTA: Correct, not everyone uses the same desktop resolution. It is stated that this list is based on a desktop resolution of 1024×768. πŸ™‚

All this does is prove you don’t take the time to actually read blogs.
DTA: Are you referring to me? If so, I totally disagree. πŸ™„

This alone is not enough prove that I – Deimos Tel`Arin does not take my own sweet time to actually read blogs. πŸ’‘

I am confident that others would be happy to concur my above statement. 😎

Have it ever occurred to you that – not commenting on a blog entry does not necessarily and definitely not automatically means that a person has not read that particular blog entry, yo? 😈

Wasn’t this the idea behind EC?
DTA: Do you mean to sincerely network with fellow EntreCarders is the idea behind EntreCard? If you are referring to this, then yes I agree. However, I think EntreCard succeed in accomplishing something else. πŸ’‘

The EC credits are just that- credits.
    DTA: Correct. πŸ˜€

    Nothing of real value.
DTA: I disagree. Them EntreCredits can be used to purchase Advertisement Slots on other EntreCarders’ sites. πŸ˜†

The real value comes with readers who stick around and not spend 2 seconds clicking β€œdrop yours.”
DTA: Ah, now this one I totally agree with you. πŸ˜‰
