I don’t know about the rest of the Enemy Territory : Quake Wars players out there, but for myself, I do read the various tips and advices that appear during the loading screen when a map has ended and the server / client is loading the next map.

One particular advice that I read and applied is about enemies in disguise and how to detect them, well of course to be able to detect “spies” aka “disguised enemies” you need to be very observant.

There was once, when I was always getting knife stabbed by this pesky GDF Covert Ops. I just spawned, then I saw a suspicious looking fellow Strogg running backwards, not forward into the battle field.

I ran towards him and stared at him, he seems to have stopped moving. I blasted the ground in front of him, waiting for him to blast back. (disguised GDF Covert Ops or Strogg Infiltrator are unable to fire their weapons)

He started to sprint away instead, so I chased him, took aim and blasted him down. Turns out he was indeed that pesky GDF Covert Ops that was always knifing me earlier, the process of exposing a spy and gunning him down certainly feels good.

Okay, enough story telling and back to our topic at hand, I discovered that the following tips are not shown during the loading screens:

1. As a Strogg player, you can transfer Stroyent to Health and vice versa. Which means that you are able to heal yourself using your remaining ammo, or reload your ammo using your current health.

2. While falling down from very high places, say an aircraft you just bailed out from or a very high cliff, press the “F” key to activate either your GDF parachute or Strogg Aerial landing system.

Personally, I feel that these two (2) tips or advices ought to be included into the Enemy Territory : Quake Wars loading screen. For myself, I only know about these two (2) tips or advices when browsing the Enemy Territory : QUAKE Wars Official Community Forums.

What do you think? Do you have any tips or advices to share?
