If we always face
all people and situations with a grateful heart,
we will be happy and at peace every day

Original Mandarin Version
以感恩心带人处世
持之以恒
必能日日欢喜自在

Deimos Analyzes – For Non-Bloggers
To follow word by word what is preached in this silent thought would look like practicing some religious belief, or at least that is how Deimos sees it.

How is it possible to face all people and situations with a grateful heart if those people treat us bad, if we are in situations that is extremely bad for us? This can be explained from a Buddhism point of view, hence this would become a religious topic.

Deimos only mentioned Buddhism since that is the belief system that he is most familiar with. He welcomes others to share their different belief systems.

Deimos Analyzes – For Bloggers
This one is no different than the explanation given above? Imagine that one day your blog is hacked, can you face it with a grateful heart? Some fool spread false rumors about you and your blog, attempting to bring down your blogging reputation. Can you be happy and at peace with that?

Of course, bad things happen. If they do happen onto us, no use to dwell on it, right? What to do? Deimos would recommend one to chill out, repair the damage done, get over it, and move on. Time is too precious to be wasted on an unhappy event in the past.

Deimos’s Daily Reads
Here is something that every fellow Malaysians ought to know – courtesy of Forever28.

Deimos’s Thoughts
Again, this is another one of those easy to say, hard to practice thingie. Nevertheless, Deimos must always strive to remember this as he believe he would truly be a happier person by doing so. Something happened in Deimos’s personal life recently, and he must remember and practice this everyday or else he would be very unhappy and miserable for a very long time.

Deimos Asks
Are you able to face a person who treated you real bad with a grateful heart?

    Even if bad things happen to us, treated badly by others, we must be grateful? 😯
    I mean like, when looking at it from a non-religious belief system point of view. 🙂

    Personally, I wouldn’t want to face that person again, unless they apologized, but even if they do, it wouldn’t be enough–depending on what happened in the past. I’ve been in that situation before…There are some who treated me very badly that I stopped talking to them. Later they forgave me for all the things they did (and I still talk to them!). Then there are some who I could not face at all because they think I’m not good enough for them. Someone treating you badly is terrible, but there are better people out there that can treat you better than they did. :mrgreen:

    No I can’t, and I accept that I am not that big enough a person to do that. I might forgive, but I never forget.

    Yes, it’s a vicious cycle, I know, but what do you do eh? 😆

    I think it takes a person who has been to real hell and back to understand to really get the meaning of this message.

    It’s not easy to face people and situtions with a greatful heart if one does not learn how to possitivise all things, good and bad, that life’s gonna throw on you.

    When I was younger, I used to focus on one thing and neglect the rest, not only to objects but also my friends. Until that very friend betrayed me, and I was left with a broken-heart. Even though so, all my other friends whom I always neglected came to me and helped me up again.

    Now that I am back on my feet, I start learning to appreciate. Be grateful to whatever that comes to you. Because i think each and everything that happens in one’s life, be it bad or good, there must be a reason. And there must be an important lesson behind…

    Exactly.

    “Are you able to face a person who treated you real bad with a grateful heart?”
    It’s not easy, epecially with grateful heart. At most, just ignore that person. To build up the grateful heart thingie really need some “training”, or more approriate “修炼”.

    @Louise:
    I attempt to do my best to forgive and forget. 🙂

    =======================================================

    @kljs:
    Can be grateful, but it would strongly depend on one’s regligious belief system. 😎

    =======================================================

    @BaseGuardian:
    It would not hurt to greet those mofos when we meet them in person, aye? 🙄

    =======================================================

    @bendz:
    You are totally right about that, and one definitely need to positive-tise all things! 😎

    =======================================================

    @Forever28:
    You are welcome! 😎

    @- c H i E n – :
    Glad to hear that things work out well in the end for you. 💡

    =======================================================

    @Michelle:
    Totally agree with ya. Unfortunately, not everyone wants to do that. 😈

    =======================================================

    @Apple:
    “修炼” is more of a Buddhism term to me so I did not put it in the article above. 😳
    Need high level “修炼” to face folks who treated us a bad with a grateful heart. 😆
