Let me share a story which happened during some time in the year 2003:
- Still studying in Taylors College Subang Jaya (Quantity Surveying)
- One day, I wanted to dye my hair full red (Yes, the red hair is authentic)
- I am short of RM 50.00, the dye job costs RM 60.00
- Decided to seek out Uncle Mac, boss of MAC CENTER (Stationary shop, Map)
- Short but friendly mofo, calls me “Bad Guy” every time he sees me
- Knows me well as I bring tonnes of sliced wood to him often (Me = Class Rep)
- Just told him that I need RM 50.00, promised to return to him the next day
- He just took out from his drawer, I was like totally amazed
- So I went and got my dye-job
- Promptly returned the RM 50.00 to him the following day
- Honesty and faith for the win (FTW)?
Deimos’s Thoughts
Honesty is beautiful and faith is invaluable, aye? Honesty I can understand, be honest, truthful, no lie, etc. As for faith, erm not quite sure what this means. Kinda like a trust like thingie? Like how Uncle Mac have faith in me, trusts me, believes that I will return the money to him.
I believe that pessimistic people have little or no faith with themselves, or whatever thingies that revolves around them. Sad, sad creatures. Like Lincoln Burrows would say to Michael Scofield, “Have a little faith”, these sad folks need to have some faith, yo!
