While surfing the Hellgate : London’s website, I across this link:

Here is the official video preview by Flagship Studios:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMV-9G09RxwI watched the video in the original YouTube page and found a gameplay video of Mythos, which is currently in closed beta testing. Hopefully, I would get my beta invite soon and have a chance to try out this promising new game. And here is the gameplay video submitted by AshsToAshs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfWOcBC8nZ0&feature=relatedThe gameplay video is seven (7) minutes thirty (30) seconds long, quite worth a watch if you are a fan of Diablo 1 & 2. I find the animation of the models to be quite fluid and smooth, adequate frame per second, and certainly feels very Diablo-ish.Looks and feels like a Diablo 2 clone, perhaps this is the game that Diablo fans would be spending their time on for the time being, while waiting for the true release of Diablo 3.The video shows a dual wielding battle axe dude who runs about slicing and dicing up various monsters, it also appears that he or she can summon a 4-legged creature that resembles a hound of some sorts to assist him or her in battle.

Even the level transition is Diablo 1 & 2 style, i.e. you ascend or descend via staircases, brings back good memories of Diablo 2.

Hmmm. This kind of nostalgic feeling sure does makes me wanna install and play Diablo 2 again.

Halfway through the video, we will see our hero battling a monster that resembles a mini-boss for a quest, it appears that the boss is capable of reviving himself once. Reincarnation Ankh?

This video also shows some features of Mythos, such as a world map for fast traveling, a town / hub where you can meet up with other players (partying, trading etc), various NPCs to deal with (quests, merchant, healer etc).

All of this seems to be following the style of ArenaNet’s Guild Wars, i.e. various players meet up in towns / outposts to chat, party up, trade, etc while the explorable areas are instanced for each party.

Given that ArenaNet does not charge a monthly subscription fee for Guild Wars, hopefully that Mythos would not repeat the same mistake that Hellgate : London made - splitting the player community into 2 halves: Subscribers and Non-Subscribers

Perhaps there is still hope for Mythos yet.
