Overview
Deimos watched Iron Man yesterday night and would like to share some thoughts about it.

Before watching Iron Man
Deimos wanted to watch Iron Man on the big screens, especially after checking out the Iron Man trailer (courtesy of BaseGuardian) and yung. ‘s review or to be exact – recommendation to watch Iron Man in the cinemas.

After watching Iron Man
Deimos is real glad for watching Iron Man as he really enjoyed the movie.

Iron Man in Marvel Super Heroes
ironman
Yes, Iron Man can fly, in the coin op versus battle game as well as in the Iron Man movie.

Iron Man launching some sort of laser beam attack from his chest
ironman
Did Tony Stark perform a similar move like this in the movie? Those who already watched the movie should know.

Iron Man launching “Smart Bombs” in Marvel Super Heroes
ironman
No smart bombs in the movie, but there is a smart targeting system.

Iron Man unleashing an energy attack with his palm
ironman
Tony Spark used this ability to smack various things around in the movie.

Iron Man firing a missile or rocket
ironman
In the movie, the missile or rocket is much smaller and is fired from his arm instead.

Iron Man performing a kick?
ironman
Tony Stark did not use his legs to smack people about though.

Iron Man doing some … energy attack?
ironman
Tony Stark certainly did not do something like that in the movie.

Additional Scene after the end movie credits
Here is the additional scene for those who missed it.

1. Tony Stark went back home and found Nick Fury in the living room
2. Nick Fury was staring towards the window, then turns to tell Tony Stark that
3. He is not the only superhero in the world
4. Tony Stark asks who he is
5. Nick Fury says he is
6. “Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D, and I am here to talk to you about the Avengers Initiative.”

Deimos’s Daily Reads
If you got bored of searching for stuff using Google, then you might want to check out a visual search engine – courtesy of dicky.

Deimos’s Thoughts
Deimos enjoyed the movie very much and is very looking forward to the planned sequels.

Nick Fury doesn’t have any super human power, although he’s using an Immortality potion to keep him young. He’s friends with Wolverine, Fantastic Four, Cap America and Tony Stark, as SHIELD Director. Nick Fury is more or less like rambo, but during WWII. LOL. At least I don’t sound a comic junkie. 🙂 Am i? Hehe.

LOL. I watched the movie last night. It was fun, although a bit different story on Nick Fury and COl. James. In the comics, Tony Stark right after his escape from Wun CHo found a helicopter Pilot named James Rhodes who eventually became War Machine, his sidekick – remember that other suit when the Col. was at Tony’s house? That would be his suit. 🙂

Nick Fury worked with the Fantastic Four. In the comics, Reed Richards and Tony Stark were already secret members of Shield, and it was Tony Stark, as the boss and financier, recommended that Nick Fury head SHIELD. 🙂 Grrr, we owe a lot to Stan Lee. Bet all of you guys saw him with those two hottie ladies in the movie.

I’ve watched Iron Man and I think it’s a great example of how to do proper superhero movie. It’s easily the best Marvel superhero movie since Spiderman 2. It’s faithful to the spirit of how Iron Man and Tony Stark are in the movies, while innovating in ways that make sense in the context of the movie. The idea of the power source being Stark’s primary invention and the very thing that makes the powered armor possible was not in the original comic, but works well in the movie.

The only real flaw in the whole movie was that the final battle against Stane (Iron Monger) looked and felt less cool than all of the previous battles. Oh, and Gwyneth Paltrow, despite being an actress specially noted for her talent, wasn’t given much to do in the film.

I haven’t been following comic events too closely, but I’ve fairly sure that following the events of the “Civil War” storyline, Tony Stark is currently director of SHIELD himself.

Thanks for summing up that scene at the end. I should have stayed through the credits because I missed that little bit completely! 😮
