Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE
Deimos pre-purchased Guild Wars 2 so he had access to the first public Guild Wars 2 Beta Weekend Event held in April 2012. Check out some screen shots from the PvE – Player versus Environment side of things!
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Races!
Choose to become a Human, Norn, Charr, Asura or Slyvari in Guild Wars 2. Asura and Slyvari are not available in the Beta Weekend Event though.

Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Professions?
There are a total of eight professions in Guild Wars 2. Top row, starting from the left is Elementalist, Warrior, Guardian. Bottom row, starting from the left is Ranger, Necromancer, Thief and Mesmer. Deimos plays a Warrior by the way.

Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Story!
During character creation you need to answer a few questions which will determine what kind of personal story quest you will have in the game.
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Intro!
Different races, background will have different introductions when you start the game.
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Corporal?
Humans start off the game with some town under attack by Centaurs and it is up to the player to stop the Centaurs and save the town! Time to become a hero!
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Centaur!
Armed with a sword, the hero starts slashing away at the Centaur invaders! Kill them all!
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Cinematic?
The personal story quest will have cinematic sequence in which you get to see characters up close talking with one another. Nice feature!
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Wurm?
Dynamic events are plentiful in Guild Wars 2 and one will see many players focusing on a same goal even without being in the same party. For example, your warrior is exploring the country side and suddenly off in the distance you see some people attacking some gigantic Wurm Queen and so you decided to join in by attacking the Wurm Queen too.
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Cleavage?
For some reasons, cleavage seems to be quite common in Guild Wars 2. Perhaps lightly or medium armored characters are like that?
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Map!
Locations on the map marked with a heart means that there are tasks for the hero to perform there. Go there to see what kind of help you can offer! You will probably encounter some dynamic events there too. For example, while randomly killing Centaurs, some dynamic event about escorting some guy may appear and you will see lots of players running towards that direction, killing stuff while protecting that non player character.
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Castle?
Human players start off in Divinity Reach. It has a very huge castle as shown above.
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Town!
The town is huge, full of non player characters walking around, minding their own stuff.
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Sword?
This mean looking sword is a quest reward from doing the personal story quest.
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Rifle?
This rifle looks kinda plain and simple when compared against that two handed sword.
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Wasp?
This dynamic event involves killing a giant wasp queen. Sure took a while to bring it down!
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Cleavage!
Girls in Guild Wars 2 are always pretty and have very nice cleavages! Awesome!
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Swamp?
Some monsters from the underworld escaped into the swamp! Shoot them down yo!
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Spider?
One of the personal story quest involves exploring some tomb full of spiders!
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Boar?
Drinking certain potions will transform your character into something else. For aesthetic purposes only. No real combat benefit value of any kind.
Guild Wars 2 Beta PvE – Underwater!
Warriors are armed with a spear and a harpoon gun while swimming underwater.
