Deimos’s Thoughts
Still lacking 1 Painting, 1 Ghost and 2 Messages. Will update later if found. Only the 5 Red Candles are really needed for you to escape the house, the various items to be photographed are only for you to score more points. May Deimos enjoy a good traffic harvest with this post.

Do you believe in the existence of ghosts? Yes? No? Why?

Thanks for the plug in Deimos. You are more than kind. You have however not answered my question about the meaning of Deimos!

No I do not believe in ghosts. Why? Because scientifically, it is an impossibility. The explanation for others experiencing them, is that fears, internalized manifest as though they are real, like schizoid people or paranoid people imagining things.

I don’t know if you have the information on one of the ghosts, and I’m still playing the game right now, but I noticed that this ghost wasn’t in the information of the walkthrough. When you go into the house, And go to the left to the room with the prtrait with the moving eyes, take a right into the room with a table directly against the left wall of a small hallway like room. Above the table, there is a message (takes a REAALLLLLLY long time to re-appear if it vanishes when you first walk into the room… about 2-3 minutes compared to the other message)
And then, hang around in there a little longer, and a small ghost (dog sized to be overly spacific XD) that scampers QUITe quickly… fading in and out infront of the camera. like I said… I haven’t gotten the whole game completed, because this is my first time playing it as I type this XD I’m just using the walk through and noticed ^^

Hugs and luck from Tokyo! -Kasumi

:edit: I don’t know why it says USA O_o

For the locations of the missing ghosts, etc. check out the comments for another walkthrough located here: http://www.games-walkthroughs.com/2008/10/ghostscape-walkthrough.html. The other guide isn’t anywhere as good as yours, by the way.

This game is SO much fun! It has all the awesome ghost story qualities I look for, all that suspense, and the mystery of something you don’t quite ever understand.

Frankly, I’d have to say…yes, I do believe in ghosts, somewhat. I’ll believe in it if you give me definite proof…I don’t usually buy into the whole ‘this blur looks like a man’ or ‘orbs appear around this area’ since I know those can be easily faked. I LOVE hearing EVPs, though…and it’s not that I’m not Christian, but sometimes, I have a certain belief in the non-god/angel/whatever supernatural.

Science has a tendency to discard whatever it doesn’t understand. Scientificly it was held that the world was flat, which we all know now it is round. Just because ghosts are unable to be ‘scientificly’ proven doesn’t mean they don’t exsist. Oh, and the human mind will find ways to rationalize the irational so many sceptics laugh away the real. Yes, I believe in ghosts. After all I have been through, I would be a compleat IDIOT to think they are just a figment of my imationation. You tell me that the things I have seen go flying through the air at my home ISN’T some kind of paranormal activity, and I’ll tell you you are one of the most closed minded person I have ever met.
Sorry about that rant, I am a medium and people who doubt the exisitance of ghosts really get on my nerves. I have had houndreds beg me for help, all at once, that it drives me to tears during class, which scares alot of my friends. this game is amazing, and yeah, thanks for helping me through it!

    said the following:

@Gretcheen: A lot of what used to be held as true wasn’t scientific thought so much as it was philosophical. In the past, nobody knew how to tell whether or not the world was round – but when people started sailing great distances(instead of keeping to the shoreline), it became apparent that the ship “fell” over the horizon(in fact, early observation of this, coupled with the dangers of deep-sea sailing and resulting loss of the ships that tried it, fate unknown, may have led people to think they WERE falling off the world, who knows). Many points of philosophy were held as true because it was “the perfect way of things” according to that philosophy. Earth has one moon, Mars has two, Jupiter was believed to have four, etc, and this was taken as a sequence. Philosophers held that thought, not experimentation, was the way to do things. People such as Galileo disagreed, and look what that got him.

Anyway. On the other hand, it IS impossible to prove that something does not exist. You cannot logically prove a negative – only a mutually-exclusive positive. (You can’t prove that the sky isn’t lime green, but you can prove it’s blue easily enough on many days. On the other hand, you can’t prove that the sky will never BE lime green.) So ghosts might turn out to exist.

Sometimes things moving are a result of slight instabilities finally tipping past the point where they overcome friction. And then they move with ever-increasing speed and hurtle from their proper places. Sometimes, there really IS a rational reason, even for things that the human mind is liable to dismiss as “couldn’t happen”… now, as in Galileo’s time.
