I indeed had such a dream once – only that I had no trouble “waking up” later. It was very strange – i kept seeing my dream even though i realised that i was lying in bed and my sister came in. I even spoke a few words to her – when i opened my eyes a little the show stopped, though.
I dreamt that i was riding bikes with some friends when suddenly gravitation turned about 90° and we started ‘falling forward’.
Google says that there are some theories about this being possible to happen, but its kinda rare.
