One correction. If it is the same as my list, I never mentioned anything about 1024 x 768 resolution. In fact, I specifically stated that I use a widescreen monitor, 1680×1050 resolution to be exact. Also, the size of your browser text, choice of browser, and how you arrange your toolbars will affect what appears “above the fold”. Even if you do scroll down a little on a few sites, I also weed out sites with no card, sites with horrible popups and other annoying things.

i think the ‘non-drop’ visitor percentage from entrecard is around 10%. So around the mark of traditional advertising i suppose

i just wish entrecard was designed in a way that doing mass drops didn’t give you a huge advantage. The system actually encourages people to spam there card everywhere (which is the reason for the crap traffic).

I believe the main reason why Entrecard works at driving traffic (Entrecard Droppers and Potential Site Visitors turned Readers) is that:

– The system gives Entrecarders a fabricated sense of reward
– That drives them to go out on a mad clicking frenzy
– In an attempt to earn more Entrecard Credits (ec)
– By visiting other fellow Entrecarders’ sites
– And dropping their cards on every Entrecard Widget they come across

Take away that fabricated sense of reward, and folks would no longer be motivated to go on a mad clicking spree. 💡

Then Entrecard would be something like MyBlogLog, or BlogCatalog. 😛

Personally, I believe that spam clickers would not progress far being an Entrecarder that only spam clicks but does not interact with other fellow Entrecarders in any way. 😎
