English Translation
The reason we feel lost and unhappy
is greed. In fact, we need very little
to sustain our life. Leading a simple,
well-grounded life, we will naturally
be happy and at peace.
Original Mandarin Version
人会迷失 是因心有贪念
其实衣食住行适用就好
简单而踏实地生活
人生自会平安辛福
Deimos Analyzes – For Non-Bloggers
If everyone practices the above, there would no rich mofos in this world.
Deimos Analyzes – For Bloggers
If every blogger thinks like this, there would be no A-list bloggers such as Darren Rowse or John Chow. Every blogger would be a little smurf blogger.

Deimos’s Thoughts
Perhaps a little bit of greed can motivate people to put in more effort, to excel accordingly. Not too much of it though, just enough would do.
If one got a bit too greedy, and felt lost and unhappy, perhaps by being content, one will be happy and at peace. Contentment is happiness, but don’t let that become an excuse not to drive oneself further, to put in more effort, to bring out the best in oneself!
Deimos Asks
Are you a greedy mofo? A little bit of greed is good, yes? No?

i received similar comments from those who didn’t enjoy Fantasy movies.
i guess it requires “believe” to actually enjoy it.
since the comments mostly lies in “how fake” it is.

nice sharing, i like silent thoughts.
4me greedy moderately should be acceptable; but over greedy can lead someone loss his mind & sense, that is scary.
e.g: one has an “aim” to earn RM100k with the “purpose” to bring his/her life more happiness. but the problem is after the acheive of the 1st RM100k, they aim for 2nd RM100k, 3rd RM100k…so have work harder & harder, until at the end he/she only works on the “aim” and forgot his/her main “purpose” wanna to be happy!

Good topic! Greed is only good if it motivates you to work harder, to be more willing to serve your loyal and good customers. Greed is not good if it makes you manipulative and also, if it is a weakness used to make you fall to scammers and con people.

It is a challenge to lead a minimalist lifestyle in a consumer culture. I think we all need a balance and to learn to embrace contentment.

Greed is really bad, for health, family, relationship, and also to yourself. I guess the key here is moderation and being satisfied to what you have.
