Do you think there will be a cure for non-curable viruses in the future? Yes? No? Why?

Well Daimos, its not that viruses don’t have a cure. Its that they mutate, and some VERY quickly, like the cold virus. The problem with diseases that come back is just that. Once you get a vaccine for it, or you get infected and get better, your body gains immunity to it. The problem lies with the fact that there are many different types of the same virus, with just a small difference here and there in their protein capsule. So what ends up happening most the time is that when you get sick again, its either because your body was exposed to a new strand of the virus, or your white blood cells that had the immunity have died out (which is reason number two for most “uncurable” viruses). Now there is always the problem with viruses that just mutate too fast for immunity, that is the problem with the HIV virus. The virus mutate at just too fast a rate for there to be a vaccine to be created. Now it doesn’t mean it cannot be cured, I personally believe that while minor, there has to be something about the protein capsule that protects the virus that never changes, too minute to be seen and that is why nothing has been created yet. The way HIV is controlled is by a cocktail of medication that inhibits the RNA transcriptase enzyme which the virus uses to change its RNA into DNA and fuse itself with the cell it infects. Then once the cell multiplies, it multiplies the virus as well and eventually the virus grows in the cell and BOOM, it bursts out sending millions of new viruses. That is known as lysis. So in the end, after a huge, enormous and probably unnecessary rant of information, yes, I believe its possible to cure those viruses yet to have cure for, even if it needs to be done over and over again like the cold virus.
