You lose a life if a cow exploded, is abducted by aliens or shot by yourself. Lose them all and the game is over. You still get to shoot the cows if you like though.

    Okay so I downloaded this game, and from the looks if it, I thought it was going to be alot of fun, and you know what! it was! Once I accidentally shot my first cow, I kept on shooting more 😛
