My computer > right click > manage > device manager > sound,video and game controller > click on + > right click on unimodem Half-Duplex Audio device > Disable. and then play the game.

Update: It’s rather simple, the problem can be that your sound quality is too high, fixed my problem.

hey @RealGood, the instructions are easy and very effective, do u have the latest audio drivers for your Pc? Did you restart your Pc? did you try a reinstall and then try again the sound fix guide?

Tried this fix and my characters still sound like Chipmunks on crack. People instead are screaming this super high pitch ear deafening sound that makes the game pretty much unplayable. Help.

I’ve try all this steps, but when I try to open the game, theres a message saying cant find the sound and bla bla bla. The game will continue without sound. Then I hit Okay. After the game starts, I stuck on the Activision message that explain about its copyright and all. So I dont know how to undo this steps. Please tell me how to undo it. Email me the steps please. btw Im using Windows 7
