Deimos, this is not enough if you are trying to describe what really pay day loan is..
Pay Day Loan/Pay Day Advance/Cash Advance?? they are all same.
It’s like getting paid (by loan provider) before the actual income(from your employer) by the end of the month or quarter. Sometimes, you are so short of money that you need to find some people with whom you can borrow some money, and promise to pay them back as soon as your salary is paid off to you.
To get pay day advance is not easy. You need to be employed, you need to be the responsibility taker that means, you must show proof that you’re handling bills , you own bank accounts and other stuffs.. then only you are an eligible candidate for pay day loan.
What’s the deal??
Loan provider keep certain part of money with them as a commission. If you are getting $500 at max, you would write check for $500 whilst you would end up getting only $450. It depends upon their policy on how much commission/profit they are taking.

I saw from Suze Orman show, there are actually people take cash advance to pay credit card bills! She (the not so wise lady who took loan to pay loan) swipes credit card to make her hair and nail, buy cloths blah blah, and never have any insurance for her kids. And she can actually spend few hundred dollar every month on Starbucks coffee. End of the month, take cash advance to pay credit card bills.
And best part is, the husband never found out and dumb enough to continue to let her in charge of the household finance. After 1 round of gun fire from Suze Orman, she asks the wife to work part time at Starbucks.
Stopping her from shopping and she can continue to enjoy her Starbucks coffee. And Starbucks provides medical insurance thingy to cover her family. 1 stone kills many birds.
