The border closing is about the numbers of death tolls. Once you death tolls reaches a threshold amount of deaths, the border will close. Another thing is also you need to avoid the public transport from closing first before you get it airborne/waterborne.

@ kljs : that was my strategy ,, i’ve updated all the transmission options first [ air then water born .. then the rest . etc ] and then moved to lethality

but still some countries escape

In order to avoid the countries from closing their border, make sure you have your virus Airborne, then after that upgrade it last outside host, incubation period, resistance to heat/moisture. Then quickly try to make it waterborne, then upgrade another round of last outside host..etc….. Make sure all these are upgraded before a certain amount of deaths. If you managed to do that before the death toll forces the country to close their borders, then you would have already won half, now you need to upgrade everything else before day 200.

one question ,
what is the point if you can’t spread the virus to the locked up countries ?

i played it 5 or 6 times and each time i reach epidemic and do all the Upgrades available and still some damned countries block their borders :@

any way to defeat that .. tips !

I managed to wipe out the world in a few tries…. notices that you need to spread the virus first as fast as you can before a certain death toll, the 200 days is more than enough. It’s the closing of the borders by those country unaffected by the virus is the problem.

If I got it, I go to get treatment,
