Tutorial : How to beat Portal – Level 13

Level 13, this level has quite a number of screenies involved.

Need to get into the room behind the glass.

That cube over there might help, get it, drop it on the big red button.
________________________________________________________________________________

All those buttons need a cube on them.
________________________________________________________________________________

There’s a cube just right there!
________________________________________________________________________________

Get the cube onto the button in this room first.
________________________________________________________________________________

Get up there, get out of this room.
________________________________________________________________________________

Plaster a portal as shown above to get the glowing ball into the receiver.
________________________________________________________________________________

Plaster another portal as shown above.
________________________________________________________________________________

Now to get the cube, plaster portals as shown above.
________________________________________________________________________________

Walk through portal at the right time to land on the moving platform.
________________________________________________________________________________

Now get the cube.
________________________________________________________________________________

Open a portal on the ceiling where the buttons are.
________________________________________________________________________________

Drop the cube on the first big red button.
________________________________________________________________________________

Get back into the initial starting room.
________________________________________________________________________________

Get this cube, get back out.
________________________________________________________________________________

Drop the cube onto the other big red button.
________________________________________________________________________________

It is time to get out of this place.
________________________________________________________________________________

Shoot a portal into the exit room.

On to the next level!

Welcome to Level 12, where one becomes “Leaping Man” again.

________________________________________________________________________________

This is the first Vertical Platform that one will fly out from.
________________________________________________________________________________

This is the bottom where one will plunge in to pick up speed to come out flying. ________________________________________________________________________________

Okay, proceed to plaster a Portal (Blue) to the Vertical Platform above. ________________________________________________________________________________

Open up another Portal (Orange) at the bottom, then jump into the Portal (Orange).
________________________________________________________________________________

One will reach a higher area after doing the above mentioned. Rinse and repeat.
________________________________________________________________________________

Now shoot a Portal (Blue) at the higher Vertical Platform.
________________________________________________________________________________

No need to open new Portal (Orange) at the bottom, just leap into it.
________________________________________________________________________________

So there is a Big Red Button here and a Cube up there, get the Cube.
________________________________________________________________________________

Position Portal (Blue) as depicted above. ________________________________________________________________________________

Again, take a good aim and jump into the Portal (Orange) below. ________________________________________________________________________________

Yes! The Cube is in sight! Grab it and jump back to the area where the Big Red Button is. ________________________________________________________________________________

Drop the Cube onto the Big Red Button, and the exit door opens! Wohoo!
________________________________________________________________________________

Time to get the poke outta here. Last leap into the Portal (Orange) at the bottom.

Welcome to Level 11! The Orange Portal Gun and be found in this level! Wohoo!

________________________________________________________________________________

The Orange Portal is lying down there, just waiting to be grabbed! The Horizontal Moving Platform is not activated and one needs to send a Glowing Ball into the Glowing Ball Receiver on the left hand side to get the Horizontal Moving Platform moving. ________________________________________________________________________________

The Orange Portal rotates itself and opens up Orange Portal in four (4) different directions. Simply open up a Blue Portal and wait for the Orange Portal to be opened in a place where one is able to land one’s feet on safe solid platform as depicted above. ________________________________________________________________________________

Once down there, one needs to get into the room with the Glowing Ball Launcher to divert the Glowing Ball out of the room and into the Glowing Ball Receiver. ________________________________________________________________________________

Bash the Red Button and the Door to the room where the Glowing Ball Launcher resides will open. Quickly launch a Blue Portal into it and wait for the Orange Portal.
________________________________________________________________________________

The above screenie shows an Orange Portal being opened up by the Auto Rotating and Shooting Orange Portal Gun in the middle of the room. Step into the Orange Portal. ________________________________________________________________________________

Once inside, position Blue Portal as depicted in the above screenie. Notice that the Glowing Ball passes through the Blue Portal. It will take some time for the Orange Portal to be opened in the correct direction for the Glowing Ball to fly into the Glowing Ball Receiver. ________________________________________________________________________________

Executed properly, the screenie illustrated above is the desired result. From the above, one can see that the Glowing Ball Receiver has received the Glowing Ball. ________________________________________________________________________________

Now get back out there and get ready to grab the Orange Portal Gun. ________________________________________________________________________________

Wait until the Orange Portal opens up beside the Horizontal Moving Platform, then get onto it by entering the Blue Portal and coming out from the Orange Portal. ________________________________________________________________________________

Yes! Portalicious! The Orange Portal Gun is in sight! ________________________________________________________________________________

Now let’s get the poke out of this place! Hit that Red Button, and shoot a Blue Portal (or an Orange Portal) into the room when the gate opens. ________________________________________________________________________________

Now hop back onto the Horizontal Moving Platform, shoot an Orange Portal (or a Blue Portal) into the wall as depicted in the above screenie. ________________________________________________________________________________

Now take one good luck at this room before leaving it. Just joking. Totally no idea why this screenie was captured in the first place. ________________________________________________________________________________

All right! This screenie shows that one has successfully acquired the Orange Portal Gun and thus the Portal Gun is now capable of launching two (2) different types of Portals! The Blue Portal and the Orange Portal. The upcoming levels would be a bit more exciting now. ________________________________________________________________________________

Finally! Two (2) digits levels instead of single digit! Level 10! Eh?!! The steps are higher? How do get up? Simply open up a Blue Portal and waltz through.

Let’s take a good stare at the level 10 sign board before moving onwards yo? ________________________________________________________________________________

Okay, that chasm looks a bit too wide to leap across. ________________________________________________________________________________

A bit deep too. Might die if fall head first. ________________________________________________________________________________

Turning back and looking upwards, there is an Orange Portal there! ________________________________________________________________________________

Piece of a cake now, just shoot Blue Portal into the floor. Did I mention cake? ________________________________________________________________________________

Take a deep breath, get ready to run and jump into the Blue Portal. Ready? Set? Jump! ________________________________________________________________________________

Easy huh? Already across the chasm! Let’s get outta here!

What the? Not done with this level yet? Another Orange Portal?

Well, what to do? Just shoot! Aim high and plaster a Blue Portal onto the surface. Then proceed to jump into the Orange Portal shown in the screenie above. ________________________________________________________________________________

A.I. Mofo is lying, this level is very easy, just like the ones before this. ________________________________________________________________________________

This is the field which removes everything – Cubes, Opened Portals etc. ________________________________________________________________________________

Now let’s get up the platform, open up a Blue Portal, grab the Cube and get up there. ________________________________________________________________________________

While up there, shoot a new Blue Portal across the open space as shown above. ________________________________________________________________________________

Take Cube, enter Orange Portal exiting out of Blue Portal, drop Cube on the Big Fat Juicy Red Button, proceed to level 10. ________________________________________________________________________________

Welcome to Level 08, tread carefully and try not to get wet.

Simple objective, just get across this pool. One will suffer premature death almost instantly if one decides to take a dive into the pool. ________________________________________________________________________________

Position Blue Portal as illustrated above to get the Horizontally Moving Platform activated. ________________________________________________________________________________

Done correctly, the Glowing Ball would travel into the Glowing Ball Receiver. ________________________________________________________________________________

With the Horizontally Moving Platform activated, get ready to board it. ________________________________________________________________________________

First, let’s get over to the Stationary Platform where the Orange Portal is. ________________________________________________________________________________

Now shoot a Blue Portal as depicted in the above screenie, enter Orange Portal at the correct moment or else suffer a most wet and deathly experience. ________________________________________________________________________________

The above screenie shows the desired outcome, if done correctly. Proceed to Level 09! ________________________________________________________________________________

Meet Level 07! Where Horizontally Moving Platforms are introduced.

Get Glowing Ball into Glowing Ball Receiver to activate Horizontally Moving Platform, get onto Horizontally Moving Platform to exit this level. ________________________________________________________________________________

Shoot Blue Portal as shown in the above screenie to divert the Glowing Ball’s course into the Glowing Ball Receiver. ________________________________________________________________________________

With that done, the Horizontally Moving Platform would be activated. Aim high towards the left top most corner of this room. ________________________________________________________________________________

Plaster a Blue Portal on the ceiling as depicted in the above screenie. Plunge into the Orange Portal at the correct moment. ________________________________________________________________________________

If done correctly, this would be the desired outcome. On to Level 08 and get wet! ________________________________________________________________________________

Ball Launcher launches Glowing Ball, Ball Receiver receives Glowing Ball. Some thingie happens when Glowing Ball travels into Ball Receiver. Make Ball Receiver receive Glowing Ball and one is through with this level. ________________________________________________________________________________

Depicted above is what happens when Glowing Ball travels into Ball Receiver. The platform will lower down now and one is able to get on it, exit to the next level. ________________________________________________________________________________

Open up a Blue Portal as shown above to divert the Glowing Ball into the Ball Receiver. ________________________________________________________________________________

So we reached Level 05, just another easy level, ought to be over real quick.

Get x2 Cubes 2, drop x2 Cubes on x2 Big Fat Juicy Red Buttons, exit to level 06. ________________________________________________________________________________

One Cube is on top of platform on the right hand side, the other one lies in the pit. ________________________________________________________________________________

Piece a cake yo! Open up a Blue Portal and grab the Cube! ________________________________________________________________________________

So the first Cube is placed onto the first Big Fat Juicy Red Button! ________________________________________________________________________________

Get onto the platform by walking through the Blue Portal and coming out from the Orange Portal, plaster a new Blue Portal as illustrated above, closing off the old one. Get through it, grab the second (2nd) Cube! ________________________________________________________________________________

Shove the second (2nd) Cube onto the second (2nd) Big Fat Juicy Red Button, get outta here already! ________________________________________________________________________________

Whoops! Can’t quite exit yet, looks like a dead end! ________________________________________________________________________________

Just open up a Blue Portal on the nearby wall and get through it, dropping out of the Orange Portal above, proceed to exit to the next level. ________________________________________________________________________________

This is the level where one grabs hold of the Portal Gun.

See the Orange Portal? Gonna come out of there later. The Portal Gun situated in the center of the room, which rotates and shoots Blue Portals until one picks it up. Notice the window opening to the right hand side? One will enter the Blue Portal that the Portal Gun shoots through that window. ________________________________________________________________________________

This is the window opening, dodge out of the way when the Portal Gun fires. ________________________________________________________________________________

The Blue Portal opened! Get in there! ________________________________________________________________________________

Upon entering the Blue Portal, one will emerge from the Orange Portal. Now get down there and grab that Portal Gun! ________________________________________________________________________________

Yes! The Portal Gun! More like half of it anyway, can only shoot Blue Portals for now. Proceed to plaster a Blue Portal anywhere (ceiling and any other unreachable areas excluded!) and waltz into it to exit to the next level. ________________________________________________________________________________

Yes! Get ready for the upcoming level (do ignore the Blue Portal at the wall. Deimos was fooling around with his new found toy) – Level 03! ________________________________________________________________________________

The previous level 00 is an introductory level, this level is no different.

There are three (3) rooms in this level – Cube Room, Button Room and Exit Room. ________________________________________________________________________________

The Button Room – A room with the Big Red Fat Juicy Button. ________________________________________________________________________________

The Cube Room – A not quite empty room with a cube, which one must relocate onto the Big Fat Red Juicy Button in the Button Room. ________________________________________________________________________________

Jump down, and the Orange Portal will appear on the wall. ________________________________________________________________________________

The Blue Portal will open and rotate among the three (3) rooms, starting with the Button Room as depicted in the above screenie. ________________________________________________________________________________

Now it shows up in the Exit Room. ________________________________________________________________________________

Then in the Cube Room, after that it will show up in the Button Room again. ________________________________________________________________________________

Objective is simple, grab the Cube from the Cube Room and drop it onto the Big Red Juicy Button in the Button Room. After that, proceed to the exit room. ________________________________________________________________________________

After dropping the Cube onto the Big Red Juicy Button, the gate to the next level will be opened, walk in there and proceed to the next level – Level 02. ________________________________________________________________________________

Easy level, one has not acquired the portal gun yet. It gets more interesting when one has acquired the portal gun which allows the user to open up portals at will.

Deimos runs a blog so he does not use website templates and certainly has no use for certificate templates or any cv template whatsoever. If he needs to prepare presentations quite often, then perhaps some powerpoint templates might come in handy. As for web design trends he would not bother much with following trends as he prefers to have things his way instead of following blindly, even if it may help out with affiliate marketing he would still not follow trends.

The menu Portal, also the starting room for one’s Portal adventures.

There is a bed, a water closet, a desk with a notepad, glass and a radio? ________________________________________________________________________________

After the count down timer reaches zero (0), two (2) portals will open up, an orange one and a blue one. Walk into the orange portal to exit the room, coming out of the blue portal. ________________________________________________________________________________

Before the start of every level, there is this big sign board. The little icons near the bottom briefly tells the player what to expect in this level. The two (2) icons depicted above shows that there will be cubes in this level. ________________________________________________________________________________

Proceed into the next room. Yes, just walk in there. ________________________________________________________________________________

Big red button, big cube. Pick up big cube, drop onto big red button.
________________________________________________________________________________

So the door opens! Walk in there and embrace the next level – Level 01! ________________________________________________________________________________
