It is Saturday and Deimos does not feel like producing original content today, so he will share a joke today and hopefully, readers might find it to be amusing.

Nice Joke from Badawi to Us
The word “Us” in the title is probably a reference to the normal Malaysian citizens.

Have a good laugh!
Perhaps only normal Malaysians citizens may find this joke amusing?

How much would it cost to (telephone) call Malaysia from Hell? You’d be surprised!
Again, this is just a joke, for laughs. Scientifically speaking, it is still not yet to confirm the existence of hell. Religiously speaking, it strongly depends on a person’s belief system and faith. The following article is best taken lightly and not too seriously.

Queen Elizabeth, Bill Clinton and Ahmad Badawi die and go to hell. But the devil has only one phone there.

Queen says, “I miss my England , can I use your phone and hear how my people are doing down there.”

She calls and talks about five minutes.

Then she asks: “Well devil, how much do I owe you for the call?”

The devil says: “Five million pounds.”

She writes him a cheque and goes back to her chair .

Clinton wants to make a call too. He says I wanna call the US .

He talks about ten minutes, then asks “How much do I owe you devil?”

The devil says “Ten million dollars”

He also writes a cheque and goes back to his seat

Badawi is jealous. He says “I want to call Malaysia.”

He calls and talks for about an hour to his son-in-law who is busy trying to find Mr. Petronas.

Then he asks the devil “How much do I owe you?”

The devil replies: “Only one dollar.”

Badawi is shocked and asks ‘why so little?’.

The devils says: if you make a call from one hell to another, IT’S LOCAL CALL.

Deimos’s Thoughts
Though Deimos did find this joke to be funny at first, he felt a bit confused later on. Does this joke means that Malaysia is another hell? Or is Badawi’s son-in-law in another hell? Given the current situation of Malaysia, it probably means that Malaysia is another hell.

A question for Malaysians: What do you will happen in this coming September?

Deimos would like to share an article written in Bahasa Malaysia which talks about the recent outrageous price increase of petroleum in Malaysia.

Deimos did not author the following article which was forwarded to him via email.

Penting!! Fakta Tentang Minyak Yang Semua Kena Tahu

So apa masalahnya?

Bila menteri menteri beri komen tentang ekonomi, semuanya berkata yang bagus bagus, tapi bila bercakap soal subsidi minyak, dah cakap lain pulak. So kalau Dato Najib kata turunkan harga minyak akan buat negara bankrup, bagai man a projek ratusan billion di atas?

Oil – production: 196,700 bbl/day (2005 est.)
GDP – per capita (PPP): $9,200 (2007 est.)

https://www.cia.gov/library/publicat…s/tx.html#Econ

Ni Malaysia punya
Oil – production: 751,800 bbl/day (2005 est.)

Deimos’s Daily Reads
No more reads today.

Deimos’s Thoughts
Deimos is already heavily in debt of thousands of Ringgit in unpaid credit card bills and now he wonders how would he be able to cope with this ridiculous price hike.

It appears that the gown own ment cares little for the welfare of the people of this country. Maybe their mentality is of that “We are going to lose the upcoming election anyway, why not we fill up our coffers first before that happens”.

Perhaps this is one of the many subtle signs of Armageddon, ever rising inflation causing people to have difficulty in their everyday lives etc.

Deimos Asks
Are you pissed off with the gown own ment for raising the price of petroleum?

Air purifier in Malaysia taxis ( Must Read for your own safety!! )
No matter the taxi driver is Chinese, Malay or Indian, PLEASE BE AWARE!
If you notice that there is a sound of spray of perfume or air purifier inside the taxi, PLEASE GET DOWN from the TAXI IMMEDIATELY!!

It just happened to me just now. It was about 12.45 am . I got into a taxi driven by a Malay man. I was in the taxi for a few minutes, I suddenly heard of a sound of spray and there was a smell like air purifier. I felt weird as to why the driver put two types of air purifiers in his taxi.

The smell immediately reminded me about this forwarded email that I read. I started to be aware of my surroundings.

But the puff of the purifier kept appearing every few minutes. I was very worried and scared.

Gradually, I sensed that my body started to feel weaker and weaker. The purifier kept puffing from the back seat, just right behind me. As I really felt my whole body is weaken, I asked the driver to let me get down at the side road. But he kept trying to talk to me and ask me why not dropping me off at my destination. I think he was trying to drag the time. To my horror, I felt both of my hands and legs got numbed and no energy, almost could not move.

When I talked to the driver, I could not even speak properly, not to say to shout for help, ‘cos I was really too weak…

Immediately, at a traffic light I opened the door, jumped out and ran to a passer-by for help.

I really thank God for saving me. If not, I really can’t imagine what would have happened to me. I am traumatized by this incident.

This is TRUE case. Please do keep in mind! IT IS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY!
I feel the need to share with you guys, no matter you are men or women ‘cos it is NOT a LIE, not a made-up story. It really happened. Do let your friends, family members and relatives know about this case. I believe you are just like me, don’t wish anybody to be the victim of this case.

‘Please be aware when aboard to a taxi, especially the ladies.’

I received an email some months ago about a lady getting into a cab and felt uneasy and become faint when she smelt something like incense being burnt. She was smart enough to order the taxi to stop immediately and after throwing some money at the taxi man quickly get out of the taxi. She later got to know that if she had not stopped the taxi and gotten out, she would have fainted and raped by the taxi man (or a gang of rapists)!

After reading this, I thought maybe this was one of those emails that you would read and just forget about it, but I was wrong!

Few weeks ago, a visitor to our Chinese church who stayed in Puchong got into a taxi driven by an Indian man. When she sat into the taxi, there was a little burner and she could smell incense burning in the taxi. After awhile, she felt weak and unable to speak or shout. The Indian taxi man drove to a lonely road where there was hardly anyone and raped her. Before she was completely knocked out, she was told by the taxi guy that she was his number six victim.

She was not only raped but also robbed!

When she was conscious again, she quickly went to see a doctor. The sad thing is, the doctor knew she was raped but did not advise her what to do. The doctor just let her make the decision to make or not to make a police report. Since she does not know the rapist name and also the taxi number and in great fear after this trauma, she told the doctor that she would not dare to report to the police. The doctor said since she dare not make the report, he would just have to destroy the medical report!

Because the rapist took her whole bag with her IC in it, he got her address and even has the guts to come straight to her house and try to be funny with her.

Please remember not to get into a taxi that smells funny and if possible don’t get into a taxi alone, and if you have to do so, give a call or sms back to your friends or relatives and let them know the taxi registration number and if possible, the name of the taxi man.

AND OPEN THE WINDOW!

Gals… please take note and…
Guys… please forward to your female friends…

Deimos’s Thoughts
Though unable to find any urban legend reference to this article, Deimos still doubts the authenticity of this story. If the taxi drivers used special perfume, air purifier or burning incense etc, how come the taxi driver is not effected by the drug and got knocked out himself? He took some anti sleepiness pills hah?

Also, the examples in this article mentioned Malay and Indian taxi drivers, with the Malay one being a potential rapist while the Indian one is indeed a rapist. So how come no stories about Chinese taxi drivers being potential rapist or rapist? The author of this article did remember to mention Chinese in the first sentence of this story though.

Still, though the authenticity of this article remains to be doubted, there is no harm done taking extra precautions when boarding taxis, alone, as a lady.

Deimos Asks
Heard any horror rape stories about taxis in Malaysia before?

Deimos did not author the following article that he received via an email forwarded to him. The following article is meant to be taken light heartedly and not too seriously.

Hongkies, Singaporeans, Indonesians and Malaysians
Without further delay …

Being Hongkies is good because…
1. We are Hongkies and not Chinese.
2. We can talk and shout and nobody gives a damn.
3. Jackie Chan is our icon.
4. We can live in a 5′ x 5′ cubicle and call it luxury apartment. We even need to pay $10,000 a month for this cubicle.
5. Our children can speak Cantonese at a young age.
6. We get to blame everything on Feng Shui or Tung Chee Hwa or the mainland communists.
7. Gambling is more interesting than sex. Macau is the place to for thrills!
8. We produce a lot of Miss Hong Kong to the enjoyment of the rich and famous.

We love being Singaporean because…
1. We are not Malaysians.
2. Everyone (especially the Malaysian) hates us, except ourselves.
3. Famous for Orchard Road and we love Geylang. Geylang is the place to go for thrills!
4. We have our own island.
5. We will never ever have yucky chewing gum stuck under our shoes.
6. We know how to enjoy our vacation in Malaysia – keep a few RM50 notes before you enter the highway: You can throw anything, anytime, anywhere and always wash our cars at the resort.
7. We can speed up to 180 kilometers per hour and not ending up with a summon as long as we have RM50 with us to spare.
8. The men are always concerned, first question to ask a girl “Do you have CPF?”
9. Never fear of getting lost in our country – S$20 taxi ride will get you into the sea. Hahaha!
10. We’ll never have to worry about finding Mr or Ms right because the government will find one for us.
11. 1 Singapore dollar = 2.5 Ringgit… nyek nyek nyek.
12. It’s OK to be Kiasu. It’s part of our culture.

Top reasons for being Indonesian are as follow…
1. We are not Australian.
2. We live in the biggest country in South East Asia .
3. No pirates in Indonesia water if you exclude the Navy and Coast guards.
4. Everything is cheap, even our salaries…
5. We can blame everything to Suharto or BJ Habibie or Gus Dur or Megawati or who’s next?
6. Only in Indonesia you can get involved in real demonstrations daily for different causes and see no results.
7. Our Rupiah is like a Yo Yo, it can go up and down just because IMF say so…
8. We burn everything and nobody gives a damn. We cause haze all over the South East Asia and nobody can do a thing… nyek nyek nyek.
9. We don’t need fire fighters as our neighbors will provide …

Being a Malaysian is the best because…
1. World tallest twin towers, Best F1 circuit, largest roti canai, most expensive toll rates, because Malaysia Boleh!
2. We can be driving, picking our nose, cursing another driver, talking on the handphone, adjusting the radio and bribing the traffic police at the same time.
3. We divorce by sending SMS.
4. Traffic summon can be settled on the spot with the traffic police.
5. We have Teh Tarik & Roti Canai on the Russian space ship.
6. We can save a lot of electricity b’coz our TV shows are so crappy.
7. We can blame everything on the haze or George Soros or government or opposition parties or…
8. Resourceful City Council, one person to drive the van, one to carry the ladder, one to change a street’s bulb and three others watching…
9. We make 2 lane trunk roads into 3 lane highway and back to 2 lane when polices are sighted
10. There’s always something for the JKR to do. They dig, resurface the road, dig and resurface…
11. All main roads are designated highway because it gives Velooo a reason to collect toll.
12. Our government can never be wrong.
13. Our badminton players can only win on home grounds because we are kampung champions.
14. We have more water than Singapore … nyek nyek nyek.

After reading the above, I believe you will agree with me that being
Malaysian is still the best. You have to be glad that you are a Malaysian and enjoy staying in Malaysia!

Overview
Are you a fellow Malaysian? Wanna save more money in your electricity bills? The solution is simple – Buy a Power Saver. Invest now and start saving your precious Ringgit!

Official Purchase Link
Click here to access the Product Purchase page

Why should I buy a Power Saver?
You want to save money. Your Ringgit is precious. Your electricity bills is outrageous. You had enough with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) siphoning away your hard earned Ringgit in electricity bills. Time to change. Time to buy a Power Saver.

How much can this Power Saver help me save?
Electrical consumption is reduced by 10 – 20% as claimed by MONSTER ENERGY MANAGEMENT SDN BHD, the company who is responsible to distribute this Power Saver.

Less power usage means less Ringgit to pay monthly
Say monthly electricity bills is RM1,000.00 so if power usage is reduced by say 20% then it possible to have a RM200.00 saving in monthly electricity bills. Multiply that by 10 months and a RM2,000.00 saving could be possible.

Very Fast Return in your Investment
Given that a set costs about RM280.00++ and based on the above example, after 2 months of usage you would have saved back the amount of money that costs to purchase a set of Power Saver. Sounds like quite a good deal, right?

I don’t like it! I want a refund!
MONSTER ENERGY MANAGEMENT SDN BHD offers a 60 Days money back guarantee. At least this is what they claimed. Perhaps their product is really that good and one would truly feel satisfied upon installation and usage of this Power Saver product.

Disclaimer Notice
Note: Their claim is 10% – 20% less power consumption, Deimos is making an assumption that 10% – 20% less power consumption could result in 10% – 20% savings in Ringgit. If you believe this is not the case, please let Deimos know.

Yes! I would like to purchase a Power Saver!
Wonderful! Now make Deimos happy, click here to access the Product Purchase page and buy a set via Deimos’s affiliate referral link.

Deimos’s Daily Reads
Wanna know if your friends read your email? Courtesy of Steve Yu.

Deimos’s Thoughts
Really does sounds like a good deal right? Too bad Deimos is too poor at the moment to purchase and try out things like this. Maybe Deimos will buy one after he made enough Ringgit via the affiliate sales should folks decide to purchase via his affiliate referral link.

Deimos Asks
Heard of a Power Saver before? Do you think you need one?

Do you live in or close to Subang Jaya? Like to eat? Like to eat non stop? Fancy Japanese food? Perhaps you might be interested in the Agefuku Weekend Buffet Lunch Promo.

Disclaimer Notice
Deimos received the following images via a forwarded email.

Agefuku – Sushi Boat?

Sushi. Fish Eggs on top. No idea what those green things are.

Agefuku – More Sushi!

Sushi. Again. Deimos likes Sushi, but not those raw types though.

Agefuku – Fish and Lemon?

Some kind of fish with sliced lemons. Deimos shall pass this one.

Agefuku – Unagi Pattaya?

Is that Unagi (eel) covered with egg? Sure looks like it.

Agefuku – Salmon Sashimi?

Raw Salmon. Deimos shall pass this too. Does not fancy raw food that much.

Agefuku – More Sashimi?

Raw food. Deimos no likes.

Agefuku – Clams? Fresh Oysters!

Seafood … Clams … Raw? Cooked? Deimos has no idea.

Agefuku – Octopus!

Seafood again! Octopus, it is. Cooked or Raw, Deimos do not know.

Agefuku – Vegetables!

The beans (top left corner) are nice to eat if properly prepared.

Agefuku – Strawberries!

Them strawberries sure look red and yummy, yes?

Agefuku – Satay

Meat on a stick, must be Chicken. Can’t remember the Japanese name for it.

Agefuku – Sotong or … Squid!

Yes, this one is Sotong, or Squid. No doubt. Looks cooked too.

Agefuku – Clams, again!!?? Baked Oysters!

Looks like there are plenty of seafood at this Agefuku Restaurant.

Agefuku – Official Advertising Banner

RM38++ for 3 hours. Sounds reasonable, right? Yes? No?

Agefuku – Location Map

From the above map, it looks like it is somewhere in Subang Jaya.

Deimos Daily Reads
No reads today. Gonna tag some local Malaysian Bloggers and see if they fancy Japanese food buffet – Joshuaun, vickie, Shaun, Steve Yu, Yoshi, jayhan

Deimos’s Thoughts
Though RM38++ for a 3 hours Japanese food lunch buffet sounds like a good deal, Deimos is pretty broke and penniless at the moment so he would pass this offer.

Deimos made a mistake, those are oysters not clams, thanks to yung. and little cutie for the correction. Mucho appreciated yo!

Deimos Asks
Do you like to consume Japanese food?

Fellow Malaysian who draws money from Maybank ATM machines might want to count their notes each time they withdraw money from any Maybank ATM machines after checking out this post. You have been warned, be cautious.

Disclaimer Notice
Deimos did not author the following letter as he received it via an email forward.

Dear All,

I would like to share a real life story with all my friends and especially all my colleagues and all Maybank account holders.

This incident happened on today evening (1 April 2008). I went to the PJ State (Also known as PJ New Town) Maybank to withdraw RM500. Unfortunately for me, only 9 RM50 notes came out instead of 10.

What happened was, one of the RM50 notes was folded exactly in half and placed at a corner of the stack (Please refer to the attached pictures showing how two RM50 notes can be counted as three).

I was so upset because I have no proof that the ATM did not give me the correct amount. After much hesitation, I finally decided to call Maybank to complain about the incident knowing that I may not get back my money. But at least I can caution them of such incident. When I told of my situation to the Maybank Customer Service Representative, to my surprise, I was informed that I’m not the first victim. It seems that similar cases have occurred before. The lady explained that it is the malfunction of the ATM and the money may accidentally get folded in half. However when questioned, she was unable to explain to me why the money can be folded exactly in half and placed nicely in the corner of the stack.

I believe this is the new technique of cheating money, done by the people who are responsible of placing the money into the ATMs. In the stack of money which is to be placed into the ATM, one RM50 note is folded nicely in half, for every one note taken out of the stack of money. The folded RM50 notes are then placed at the edge of the stack and positioned in the ATM where the money would be counted. With that done, every one folded note would be counted by the machine as two notes.

I may be wrong about how and why it happened, but I would like to warn everyone about this incident. Please be careful when withdrawing money from the ATM (it may happen to other banks as well) and do count your money to be sure. If such an incident really happened to you (*touch wood*), please do call up the bank to complain about this. If everyone keeps quiet about this, the bank may be unaware of such incidents and the people responsible may just continue doing what they do without getting caught! Even if it is actually because of the ATM malfunctioning, the bank should know about this and there is also a chance of you getting your money back.

Best Regards,
Natalie Tan

Deimos’s Thoughts
If this is indeed true, then Deimos would be bloody pissed if it ever happened onto him. Deimos urges all fellow Malaysians to be cautious, and remember to count the notes!

Overview
A story about the two (2) Sons of Malaysia, Elder Son – Proton and Younger Son – Perdua. This post is targeted at Malaysian readers, hence non-Malaysians readers might would like to skip this post unless they are interested in Malaysia’s local car industry.

Disclaimer
I am not the author of the following story, I received this via an email forward quite a long time ago. Spend quite some time digging this up as I can’t remember the title, the story is about two car manufactoring firms in Malaysia so I guess that only Malaysians can truly understand what it is talking about.

Proton vs Perdua
Once, there was a family known as Malaysia. In 1985, they were blessed with their first born, Proton. The family loved Proton all they can.

They gave Proton everything. They protected Proton from the bigger boys in Kindergarden. They told Proton, “You’re young, you need protection from them. It’s okay to make mistakes, you’re young. Even if you don’t learn from mistakes…it’s okay…you are young.”

Proton became spoilt. He always depended on parents and used up all his allowance on useless things. When he had to do his chores, he paid people to do it and the work is lousy, causing the parents having to call repairmen to fix all the mess that he made.

Anyway, when Proton was 10 (but he still acted like he is 1 or 2 years old), he had a younger brother, Perodua. At first, everyone thought.

This younger brother will be like Proton. Anyway, this new baby was more handsome and looks smarter than Proton. Malaysia knew there is a possibility Perodua could be smarter than proton. Since they love Proton so much, they decided that Perodua can only learn a few things. Cannot learn the same thing as Proton. This is so that Perodua wouldn’t Beat Proton at what Proton is doing.

Although Perodua was also protected by Malaysia, he learn to be independent very fast. He made good friends with Daihatsu, who had An elder brother Toyota. The two of them helped Perodua in everything. Perodua, being independent and smart, learned a lot and in a short while, was becoming as good as, if not better, than Proton.

Malaysia realized that Perodua was becoming better than his brother.Although proud of Perodua, they still love Proton best. They paid Lotus which is older and well known worldwide) to be friends with Proton.

Using this advantage, Proton mentioned Lotus every time he wanted to Tell people about himself. On this own, he was still the same.

Moreover, Proton is always not updated. When doing his work, he Still uses the typewriter and refuses to use the computer. Perodua, so much younger, used the computer, with broadband for his work. Perodua was improving so much that Toyota has assigned him with his work, codename Avanza.

2005. Proton is 20 years old, Perodua only 10. It was obvious that Perodua was the more successful of the two siblings. What is worse,Proton said he still need his parents to help him for another 10 years.

He still need to protection from the big boys. In May 2005, Perodua was about the show Malaysia his best work so far…codename Myvi. Proton, being jealous…quickly came up with an unprofessional remark about Perodua’s work and show his work at the same time as Perodua on purpose.

The future of Malaysia and her two kids are still unknown. But it would be obvious that Perodua will shine, leaving Proton crying. It would be wonder if in 2015, Proton will ask Malaysia for another 10 years of Help and protection…maybe this time…protection from Perodua as well

……….THE END

New MyVi – RM 68,000

Deimos’s Thoughts
I think the new MyVi looks kinda good aye? Besides that, I don’t think Proton is ever going to outperform Perdua anytime soon. If I am going to buy a local car, I reckon I am going to buy one from Perdua, heh. I am a poor mofo, can’t afford to buy expensive cars.

Deimos Asks
If you are going to buy a local car, would you rather buy from Proton or from Perdua?

(Pak Lah, Najib and Sami Vellu riding helicopter scouting)

Sami Vellu
(Sami Vellu said: “If I throw a One Thousand Ringgit Note down there, the one who picked it up must be very happy.”)
[Note: One Thousand Ringgit Notes no longer exist]

(At this moment ……..)

(More than a month after release, Sami Vellu wanted to ask how the sales are doing …..)

Sami Vellu ： ‘
(Sami Vellu: “How’s the sales status?”)

(Post Office Head Officer: “Not bad, but often many people complained won’t stick firmly.”)
(Sami Vellu: “How come? Sami Vellu took a stamp, plastered some saliva on the backside of the stamp, then tried to stick it on an envelope ….)

(Sami Vellu: “Ain’t this sticked on quite firm?”)

(Robber holding a knife at Najib said: “Gimme all the money you have!”)

(Najib angrily said: “What is this attitude of yours? I am the Vice Prime Minister leh!”)

(Robber: “Oh, then …… return my monies.”)
[Note: Corruption is a very common and popular practice over here in Malaysia]

4. Who is saved?
(One day, Prime Minister, Parliment members … and many big officials participated a meeting together, but chain reactive car accident happened, sent to hospital for emergency rescue, reporters rushed to the hospital ….)

(A while later, doctor came out, reporters quickly asked: “Doctor! Doctor! Can the Prime Minister be saved?”)

(Doctor shook his head sadly again and said:”Aih … also cannot be saved …”)

(Reporters then ask: “Then … who can be saved?”)

Sami Vellu 萬歲！Sami Vellu 萬歲！
(Long live Sami Vellu! Long live Sami Vellu!)

(Only got one patient’s facial expression remain unchanged, not paying Sami Vellu any attention at all.)

Sami Vellu
(Sami Vellu saw that, asked the warden: “Why that patient did not cheer for me?”)

(Warden: “Because today his mental status is very normal.”)

6. Sami Vellu Campaigning Joy
(A campaigning car with Sami Vellu and his team of campaigners drove to a village to attract votes, unfortunately their car flipped on the hillside roads.)

(An old farmer who was working on the fields saw that, rushed to the post, but all the people in the car died.)

(So he dug a hole, buried a few political members.)

(After a few days, a police inspector handling this case found the old farmer, asked him where are the few political members, old farmer told him already buried them.)

(Police quickly asked: “They were dead?”)

(Old farmer replied: “Aye …，I saw Sami Vellu shouting out loudly that he have not died when I am burying him.)

(Police said: “Then how come you buried him as well?”)

(Old Farmer said: “You know or not? This Sami Vellu never says the truth.”)

A Hilarious Round Table Discussion (Joke)
Last But Not So Last …..Least
Pak Lah :
This is the last meeting we are going to have before I make my decision on who our candidates are. First of all, I would like to thank Keng Yaik and Affendi for voluntarily backing out. You are truly gentlemen. Anyone else wants to back out? Think of the party, not of yourself.

Najib :
I think Samy should back out la.

Samy :
Apa pasai? Why you think I should back out? Why not you?

Najib :
You are a liability to MIC and BN la Samy, accept it la.

Samy :
Aiyooh! What do you mean liability? Give me proof?

Hisham :
Ayo Samy, our intelligence report say, we will lose almost 100% of Indian votes if you still lead MIC. If you get lost, maybe we can bring it down to 60%.

Samy :
Pakla, don’t listen to this two young punks la. Let me read this report just sent to me. After extensive intelligence gathering, we find that 20% of the Indians hated Samy Velu. Ha, only 20% la, where got 100%?

Nazri :
Hey Samy I also got the same report la. Why don’t you continue?

Samy :
Okay, I’ll continue, 40% cannot stand to see his face and 35% will kill him if they were to meet him. 5% believe that he is a good leader. Ha, I still got 5% what?

Pak Lah :
Come on la Samy, you’ve been around for a long time already; you have made your money. You are even richer than me, so back out la. Think of the party la Samy.

Samy :
Yes, I am richer than you but Najib, 2 deals only is already richer than me, why not ask him also to go? His submarine and Sukhoi and Altantunya also make him a liability what.

Pak Lah :
I know that one, but he is from UMNO, that is the difference. The Malays will accept corrupt Malay leaders, as long as they potong, its okay.

Samy :
Oh, kalu chunik potong kalu, berapa banyak rasuah pun takpa ka? Mana adil ini macam Pakla?

Najib :
That is the way it is in this country Samy. We all from UMNO got immunity, you people, tadak potong punya, don’t.

Samy :
No, saya akan tetap bertanding.

Kayveas :
Adei Samy, listen to them la, what they say is true la. Don’t talk about justice all la, as if you are concerned about justice. This is not the place to be talking about justice la old man. We want to win. If that means you will be dropped then so be it.

Samy :
Dei Kayveas, you just shut up la. You budak lagi la, you apa tau? What you want to be champions of the Indians ka? If I am forced to back out, I make sure you go down with me. Hey, Mahathir also cannot force me out la.

Kayveas :
Tengok Pakla, tadak guna punya Hindu. Think of himself only. Just shoot him la Pakla, don’t give chance. Najib, itu C4 lagi ada ka? Mari kita sekarang taroh itu C4 sama dia. Cilaka punya orang.

Keng Yaik :
Samy ah, enough la. So long already you in the cabinet. You want to stay until you die ka? What you think they will bury you in the Makam Pahlawan ka? Every time people curse you la. Now even your own race cannot stand you, give up la Samy. Come join me la. We all retire. After all, we are not sure if we are going to win this time around. BN also not sure going to win or not.

Pak Lah :
What are you talking about Kheng Yaik? Why you say like that? Lu jaga lu punya mulut ah Apek.

Keng Yaik :
No la Pak Lah, If everyone wants to deny us 2/3 majority, then all of them would not vote us la. We may lose more than just 1/3 la. Haiya, that one also cannot see ah?

Pak Lah :
Maybe the Chinese or Indians la Keng Yaik, not the Malays la. The Malays love UMNO.

Keng Yaik :
Are you sure ah Pak Lah? Now even the Chinese and Indians are willing to vote PAS if it is the only opposition available to them, don’t you think that there would be Malays willing to vote DAP? Don’t be foolish la Pak Lah. Until now still cannot get Kelantan despite all the dirty tricks. Who are majority voters in Kelantan? Malys la, some more what.

Pak Lah :
Betoi ka dia kata tu Najib?

Najib :
Jangan dengar cakap orang tua penyembur tu la Pak lah. Orang Melayu takkan lupa UMNO punya. Orang Melayu rela mati untuk UMNO

Nazri :
Ntah la, ada lojik jugak cakap Keng Yaik tu. Memang la orang Melayu rela mati untuk UMNO tapi rela ka dia mati untuk kita?

Pak Lah :

Kah Ting :
Lu mau tau ka? Dia olang tengok sumua itu UMNO punya olang besar manyak kaya. Bikin lumah banyak besar. Keleta 4, 5, sumua mahal-mahal punya. Dulu punya Melayu punya UMNO punya olang tak buat itu macam. Kalau dia kaya pun, dia tak tunjuk sama olang. Sekalang punya UMNO punya olang manyak sombong oh. Dia kaya, dia selalu tunjuk.

Nazri :
Apa, salah ka dia beli rumah besar dan kereta besar? Apa orang Cina saja ka buleh beli rumah besar. Pak Lah, letak Kah Ting kat Tanjong tengok. Jom kita tengok orang Cina suka kat dia ka tak?

Keng Yaik :
Tak salah, tapi baru 2, 3 hari jadi menteri sudah kaya ka? Dia punya gaji berapa? Dulu jaga gate keretapi sekarang boleh bikin Istana, orang tak heran ka la Pak Lah? Your weakness ah, is that you think the Malays are stupid. They are not la Pak Lah. Many have opened their eyes la. Many are not ignorant anymore.

Pak Lah :
Alah, kalau kalah pun, kalah sikit saja.

Keng Yaik :
Sorry ha Pak Lah if I say something. You have been sleeping too much, you have lost touch with reality.

Pak Lah :
I think ah Keng Yaik, you don’t resign la. This year you stand in Permatang Pauh, mau ka?

Samy :
Pak Lah, saya macam mana?

Pak Lah :
Meeting adjourn la, semua balik dulu. Saya mengantok ni. Nanti lain kali la.

An Open Letter of some sorts? Addressed to Najib perhaps?
Bankrupting the nation Najib style

I refer to the local daily on 31st Dec 2007 quoting Najib, our DPM saying “The opposition’s promises to reduce oil prices if it were to form a government will only bankrupt the country”.

Datuk Seri DPM, I would like to share with you on the same subject on bankrupting the nation on a bigger perspective. I came from a very poor family. My mother who lost her husband at the age of 35 years old had never remarried but maintained the role of a father and mother in a house. With having no land, no education and a meager income of RM145 dollars a month, we came out of poverty simply because of mother persistence and pressure that we must work to better ourselves.

My mother serves the role of the financial manager at home, managing cash flow and debt. On several occasion we had to borrow a bag of rice or flour but it she makes a point of repaying back. How does she goes about and bringing up 4 successful children despite the poor financial knowledge. The one that she thought me is to make the most out of a Ringgit.

In this context, I can say the present government financial, purchases policy and contract actually is the one that will bankrupt the nation. The government is effectively paying RM 3 for something that cost RM1 when in actual fact by virtue of volume, it could get it at the price of 80 cents. Let us look at the major transaction that took place in the last couple of years

a. Purchase of Sukhoi Jets using an intermediary company belonging to former Malacca Chief Minister – RM 1.8 bill. I was informed by the company staff (Nor) , who’s also the Dato key person that the company made a clean profit of RM 900 mill of which is distributed to various funds held by UMNO top people. Logic will tell you that, in the history of this country military purchases it has always been on G to G basis and not trough a private entity who has no expertise except being a middle man. In any country it is the same. Don’t give a cock and bull story that the supplier is giving the commission and they are the one who insist that they used an intermediary. We have the money, if we tell the supplier we only deal with principal, they will follow – those with money are Kings. They are the one calling the shots. When we can buy 24 aircraft, we just buy 12 and we include other mumbo jumbo’s in the package.

b. Purchase of submarine. Again the same argument applies.

c. RMN ships – We spent RM4.5 bill but where are the ships. How come money is being paid to builder who has no experience and it cost 3 times more than buying direct in overseas. In actual fact only 2 ships were built and money for 6 ships has been paid. From what I gather in the media, the documents pertaining to this payments has disappeared at the company level as well as at Ministry of Finance level. What a coincidence.

d. MAS share purchase. Mahathir one says ” Melayu mudah lupa”. .. well Tun .. sorry to say not all Melayu has short memory. The government paid RM8.00 per share for 30% share that is held by Tajuddin Ramli when the prevaling market price is RM3.50. First of all the government is the golden shareholder in the company which has certain powers as dictated by the share holder agreement. There wasn’t a need to pay RM8.00 for a company with NAV of less than RM1.00 (at that time). Even if has to accumulate enough share to effectively control the company, they should have bought from the various government related agencies like EPF who has 20% shares and other agencies like LTAT and the from the general public. When the prevaling market price is RM3.50, I think if the government offer RM5.00 every single citizen who hold shares in the company will sell the share to them. Instead they chose to pay RM8. What a joke.

Mr. DPM, I believe before we can claim that others will bankrupt the nation, the government of the day must examine its own records. It has clearly shown that it is in the process of bankrupting the nation with a one sided agreement with Toll concessionaires and other contract’s. What I have mention is only the Tip of the Iceberg. What intrigues me is that when the DG Audit can pick up purchases of cameras and other small things but they failed to look at bigger purchases.

Regards and best wishes,
Dr Mohamed Rafick Khan bin Abdul Rahman

Regarding Anwar
Irrelevant…or not?
When BN = UMNO, it has become a Useless Malaysian National Organization (UMNO). Look at history and you will know the relevant. Vote BN, Negara Anda Jadi Ikan Bilis (NAJIB); Your Country Becomes Small Fish because Petrol price will increase by RM 0.40 per litre, otherwise, the BN government will bankrupt. This is not Islamic…………..cheating, corrupt, hypocrisy..read on..

Is Anwar Ibrahim Irrelevant?
By A Political Neutral

The most famous term used by BN leaders is Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim (DSAI) is irrelevant, is this true? I was beginning to believe that maybe their claim was justified as it was being mentioned repeatedly over the months until I had personally attended his Ceramah at Buntong and Dewan Tow Bee Keong in Ipoh on the 11-1-08 between 7.30-11pm.

There were banners displayed at several places around Ipoh for a Chinese New Year celebration with DSAI at Dewan Tow Bee Keong, so a crowd of 5,000, mostly Chinese did not take me by surprise. However, a crowd of more than 5,000 people at Buntong with a days notice and organizing it at a small terrace house, with no stage was an eye opener. So why was there such a large crowd? Why an ‘irrelevant’ person able to create such hype.

The mere presence of Anwar Ibrahim created euphoria, his aura was immense, I was 50 meters away from him but I could feel the vibe, the urge to pay close attention to what he was going to say, he was a born LEADER. It’s just like walking into a temple with strong vibration where you feel the sense of calmness and serenity. Anwar is definitely relevant!!!

He did not scream all the way as most politician do, but there was pin drop silence when his tone of voice was soft, I mean pin drop silence amongst the Buntong crowd! He kept the crowd cheering and laughing all the way throughout his hour long speech. He was instantly a big hit amongst the Buntong crowd. He received the same ovation at Dewan Tow Bee Keong as well.

So what were the issues addressed and why should we vote for any opposition party whether its KEADILAN, DAP or PAS.

1. Rising price of oil and all essential goods.
He insists that petrol price would be reduced immediately once he is PM. In contrast, Najib claims that the country would become bankrupt if this was done, so how would it be possible. Simple, presently PETRONAS annual profit after tax is RM80 billion, take RM10 billion from it and further subsidize the petrol would not have any material effect on the government revenue as we are an oil exporting nation. During his 8 year tenure as Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, oil was kept at RM1.10/litre when profits from Petronas was between RM25 – 30 billion annually. Remember that most robust projects were also undertaken during this period but we never went buzz. After his sacking in September 1998, petrol rose in October 1998 and tol rates rose in November 1998.

2. Free education from primary to tertiary education.
Hah! Bolehkah ini? Mana boleh? Well, another RM10 billion would do from Petronas profit, simple as that. When you can manage with RM 30 billion, why can’t you manage with RM60 billion from Petronas. He says that this is God given gift to the people, at least half of which should go back to the people in some way or rather. What is the point of the nation being rich yet the rakyat being poor?

3. Racial tension like never before
Why so much misconception between races, we are all Malaysians. The annual government revenue is RM200 billion, to a population of 27 million is one the highest in the world, so there is no need to quarrel, we all can share the cake. So where is the problem, the bulk of the cake is being gobbled by few BN component leaders and leaving the poor rakyat to feel that we are being robbed by the other race. Morgan Stanley reported than corruption has cost the nation RM100 billion since 2004.

So please, let’s unite and fight the true enemy, please pass this important message to as many as possible, because as election draws closer, and if BN is on the verge of
defeat, they may just stir this sentiment as they have done in the past while we fall victims.

4. Brain drain and lack of opportunities
Many non-Bumis are with the perception that they are being deprived of tertiary education even after obtaining the best possible results, true. But who are the true
beneficiaries, remember that only 30% of the Bumis are either professionals or some how benefited from the growth of the country or somehow is a crony to some prominent individuals. They are the ones able to give their children quality secondary education and they are the ones who have most benefited from government scholarships and tertiary education. The remaining 70% of Bumis are still neglected and aren’t given much opportunity just as the non-Bumis.

He promised to help the most deserving Bumis (70% who are still poor) and the most deserving non-Bumis from tertiary education to government job employment.

5. Chinese and Tamil schools
He vowed to make all schools as fully government aided schools if keADILan was to come to power. I wouldn’t want to repeat the financial means as I’ve already done so.

6. Fear of PAS or DAP
This is BN propaganda, PAS is contesting in 60 seats and DAP even less, neither party on its own can come to power. Fear is put amongst non-Muslims that PAS are too radical, likewise DAP are a communist organization. Neither is true, 75% of non-muslims vote in Kelantan in the 2004 election went to PAS, there must be something right with PAS and something not so right with BN for people resorting to choose PAS. Lim Guan Eng served 2 years in jail protecting an underaged Malay girl
who was having an affair with a top UMNO leader. Are they communist?

Anyway, keADILan would have to win the most number of seats with PAS and DAP making up the numbers for them to govern. So, please do not fear PAS or DAP. Either they would be ideal oppositions in parliament or a coalition party in a keADILan led multiracial government.

Likewise many other issues were addressed. Now the big question is, can Anwar be trusted? Well, how much worst can he be compared to the current leaders. Is there any credible leader in UMNO who can turn this country around? Petrol price is to increase again in April ’08. All essential goods are going to go higher. Malaysia’s Foreign Direct Investment (pelaburan asing) has dwindled from top spot in the 90′s to 6th in 2007 after Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines in South East Asia. Anwar is a
leading financial adviser to many large institution and businessman for investment opportunities in South East Asia.

University ranking has dropped below 200 wherelse Univeristy of Singapore are No.3 in Asia and Indian Institute of Tech. are top 10 in the world. Anwar is currently serves as a professor in Harvard and Oxford Universities, needless for me to say about the reputation of these two top class universities.

With all these in mind, why can’t we give him 5 years to prove himself. We have prejudged him as untrustworthy, well, he was in UMNO, to be a leader in UMNO, you must be a fanatic Malay, likewise MCA and MIC because they are race based parties. Now he has formed a multiracial party to fight for all regardless of race and religion but promised to protect the Malay rights as stipulated in the constitution. It’s TIME FOR CHANGE. VOTE WISELY.

Deimos’s Daily Reads
Since this post is about Malaysia, so today’s Daily Reads would be blog posts from fellow Malaysian Blogger’s. Need to spread some local link love too, aye.

Anime Screenie King Kenny stated that he is not going to sell his soul, though I still if he is going to vote for the Gown-Own-Ment or against it.

This reminded me of how I despise cockroaches and would do my best to flatten one whenever I saw one.

Looks like Big Chen is going to United States as she plastered a map of America in her post. For myself, I don’t fancy traveling around and prefer to rest at home instead.

Fellow Malaysian – Wan Kong Yew who is currently somewhere in the Solomon Islands wrote an article titled – $10 million note for Zimbabwe – and after going through it, I realized that one 10 million note alone is not enough to buy a burger? What the poke? Totally inflated currency!

Child hood classmate Louise shared some memoirs of her past and also announced that she is going to take up French lessons! Bon appetite? Bon jour? Cest la vie? Haha!

Deimos’s Thoughts
A real shame that I did not register myself to vote yet. “Another vote wasted” said a friend of mine who runs a miscellaneous construction supplies trading shop in Banting.

Deimos Asks
So, if you can vote, who would you vote for? For the Gown-Own-Ment or against it?

Overview
I got 2 movie tickets for Stephen Chow’s new flick – CJ7 and I am giving them away to my fellow Malaysians. Why? I already watched the movie on a DVD. Don’t ask where I got it. Since the movie tickets only work in Malaysia, so only Malaysians are eligible for the ticket. For EntreCarders, up to 888 EntreCredits are available up for grabs.
I won them from mix.fm on 18 January 2008, journalized it here:

Appreciation Message: Thanks to the Geek Riddler @ http://www.geekriddles.com/ for letting me know I made a blunder with the dates.

Deimos’s Daily Reads (DDR)
Got a blog that deserves more attention? Tell Suzanne about it in The UnderBlog. Applicable for sites which fulfills the saying “Content is King” but appears to have forgotten that “Marketing is Queen”. A King alone can’t have babies, you know?

Fellow Malaysian Blogger Wan Kong Yew wrote a lengthy article about Bioshock and to be frank, I have yet to finish reading this latest article of his. I really do love reading up this writings since them all somehow managed to amuse me, in a certain way. Oh ya, about Bioshock, I have yet to finish that awesome game myself. No time!

My primary school mate, Louise wrote some thoughts about Balancing and Life, and I believe that she is quite right. Though I am always trying my very best to achieve more.

A fellow EntreCarder who appears to be a Sound Track Geek posted up a Valentines Special which contains many music videos of love songs, which is definitely worth a watch if one considers oneself to be a love song music videos lover.

Deimos’s Thoughts (DT)
It is still the season of Chinese New Year and I really feel generous. Plus, I already watched this movie so might as well give them away to those who wants to watch it.

Deimos Asks (DA)
Any questions? Anything not clear? Just ask Deimos!
No questions? Fine! Deimos is going to ask a one question!
1. How is my alien scream?
Okay! I hope this question ain’t too hard to answer!
