I have mentioned earlier in this post that I have developed a liking for open source softwares, and would like to share my findings with the uninformed.

It has been quite a while since I last used a download manager apart from the browser’s own default file downloader, seldom download big files that would require me to use a download manager. For fileplanet.com downloads, I use their down Download Manager.

Nowadays, I find myself using open source softwares more often. In the past, whenever I “acquired” and installed non open source softwares, I also have to go through the trouble of locating a “fix” for that particular software.

Open source softwares does not have this hassle, and yeah they can be as good as, or even better than non open source softwares.

Today, I am going to recommend the open source file archiver - 7 Zip!
